If you haven't noticed, YouTube has attached the Wikipedia article to this video for the "Attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan", which really has very little to do with what this whole video is about. GroundNews actually has a whole article about big tech's censorship of this event that's really interesting to see right here ground.news/article/facebook-says-it-mistakenly-ce… Thanks

When I was a kid, I used to think the Secret Service were elite top dogs of security. Clearly I was mistaken

The secret services greatest weakness: a mildly sloped roof
  • @NordicAxe
This is an agency who’s staff are expected to shield a person from bullets with their own bodies, putting themselves in the path of a projectile designed to kill. But they have “safety concerns” about the pitch of a roof. 🤣 You couldn’t make this shit up.

the fact the civilians caught on to him before the secret service is wild

Police: “we have a suspicious person on site” Secret service: “hold on, let him cook”
  • This kid got through all of this secret service security. Meanwhile I can't exit a Walmart without being hounded for a receipt inspection
  • How tf does one walk around a presidential rally of a former president with long bags with weapons and a big ass ladder without being spotted ? 500 feet away 😂

Secret Service Director: I’ll have to direct you to the FBI investigation FBI Director: I’ll have to direct you to the Secret Service investigation
  • From tv shows and books I was always told that the secret service was basically impenetrable, it looks like I was fed lies
  • @blurglide
Isn't it odd that this was the first Trump campaign event with counter-sniper teams? If I didn't know better, I'd say they were there to shut the sniper up after he did his job.

The Alarm, meant to alarm people, was considered too loud.
  • @artawhirler
OK, so this 20 year old kid had enough sense to bring a drone to the location, but the freakin' Secret Service didn't???
  • Incompetence can only get you so far. Eventually you can only mess up this bad on purpose.

Secret Service is worse than the 1990s LA Police Department
  • @RustyRivers
You can't buy 50 rounds of ammo at home depot in PA. A ladder, yes. No ammo. Everybody is lying.
  • First-hand experience of a counter-sniper. In 2009 my wife and I stayed at a hotel near the presidential palace in Sri Lanka. Our room was on one of the top floors of the hotel. Soon as we went inside I took out my binoculars, opened window curtains and started looking at the surroundings. Within two minutes of the time I opened the curtains, the phone in the room started to ring. My wife answered and the call was from hotel reception. The receptionist told my wife to request me to step away from the window and asked to speak to me. So I spoke with the receptionist and asked what the issue was. The receptionist said to me, "Sir you can't use any surveillance devices to look out the window and if you have made any recordings please delete them". She then told me to look at a sign at the bottom of the window which I was not aware of. The sign on the window said no surveillance devices to be used to observe the surroundings because the hotel was located in a high-security area. After I ended the call, I became concerned about our privacy and went down to reception to find out how they knew I was using my binoculars to look out the window. The receptionist explained that there were snipers and observation points placed on top of the buildings to identify any threats to the safety of the area due to the presidential place which is located near the hotel. In the experience mentioned above, the security personnel who spotted me using my binoculars had to spot me amongst hundreds of windows. It is very hard to believe that the American Secret Service with their experience and resources they have could not spot one guy moving around a roof with a gun.

The fact that there's a video of him running on the roof, it's unbelievable
  • @geoswan4984
The video says a cop peaked onto the roof where the shooter was hiding. The shooter aimed his rifle. He dropped his grip. If he had let himself be shot, would the secret service have been alerted in time to take out the shooter? What if if dropped his grip, than promptly fired some warning shots into the air? Would that have alerted the secret service snipers?

Your unanswered questions barely scratch the surface. Why does forensic audio analysis show 3 different weapons were fired? Why is the FBI not interested in releasing any details from the dozens of Cook's contacts they interviewed? Why did Cook's phone spend substantial time around phones that also spent substantial time near FBI offices leading up to the shooting? Why is the secret service more interested in hiring more women than in succeeding at their mission? Whose job did Cheatle get thrown under the bus to protect? Why are most major media outlets completely uninterested in reporting on, much less independently investigating, anything regarding the assassination attempt? Why isn't everyone voting for RFK Jr like a sane country? So many questions.
