This is a reedited version of a previous Hasselblad video that I posted a couple of weeks ago.

As in the previous video, I will tell the history of my Hasselblad, how I came to own it and a bit about its previous two owners.

The camera is a peace of history and I am very satisfied to have one myself. Nice presentation.

I am very grateful for all the knowledge you’ve shared with all of us… I love how simple and effective your explanations were, I’ve watched hundreds of videos on Hasselblads since I got mine and I enjoyed your video the most! Thank you so much!!!
  • Very informative and heartwarming to know the story and friendship behind the camera. Thank you!!
  • I am a Hasselblad enthusiast also - but what I really enjoyed was hearing your story and that of your camera. Mine gear is just eBay and camera shop purchases - but I suppose their story starts with me now. What a great friend you have to gift you such a beautiful camera set up. It is so fantastic to hear such stories and how the camera is continuing its story with you.

I just purchased a hasselblad 500cm that came with a complete kit with most of the goodies you have. I’m glad I found the video because I didn’t know about the sports finder. Awesome video sir.

"...there's no batteries needed, everything is gears and springs and levers" - the essence of a Hasselblad 500C/M in a nutshell. Love the real-world provenance but I am curious as to why Lou stepped down from a Hasselblad 500C/M to a Mamiya 645. I guess people want different things. Thought I was a Hasselblad know-all but that rubber lens shade threw me - never come across one before. Still can't get over the fact that this is a 45 year-old ensemble - I think it would be fair to say each owner treated it with care. All in all, a remarkable ode to friendship via photography.
