Chagall, Love and the Imagination

Published 2024-05-13
In this video I finish a couple of paintings, give a little book tour of Chagall's work and show a journal activity around the Chagall quote, " Art must be from Love or it is nothing"
I've been thinking a lot about the imagination and how we can understand it, how it relates to dreams and how it is so important (and sometimes difficult) to be free to be our authentic selves.

  • Love your vibrant paintings. They are a narrative. The roof tiles are fish in that childrenโ€™s book. So good to hear you sharing your faith too. โค

  • I actually love the white outlines on the horse ...it makes him look alight and like a spirit horse flown into the scene to fix everything and everyone , attracted by all the beauty in the painting . :)) Love the sharing, thank you .

Can you please share what journaling exercises you make? I love journaling but lately i've been struggling findin a way to do it impacting my art and my connection to god. Thank you ๐Ÿค—
  • Chagall was not a great artist. He couldn't even draw. He probably was mixing with the right people. There were great artists that were never mentioned.
