Mariah Carey talks about her voice

Its actually so curious that she said she didnt knew her vocal range back in the 90s, she has an expansive vocal range and im so here for it.

She loves her forebears like Aretha, Minnie, Patti. She also loves the next gen like Ari and Jennifer. Mariah just loves anyone talented.

She is so respectful and gracious in giving credit to legends like Aretha and Minnie Riperton! Mariah oozes with talent and class!

Her speaking voice is so mesmerizing.

Always fascinating to hear her discuss her voice. If I could ask her anything, it would almost entirely be about that. I love that 2021 interview where she mentions her voice having improved over the pandemic, though I'll never understand what went wrong by the time she hit the stage again in 2022. Her voice is definitely an enigma, as is the way she chooses to work around it.

Wow where is the last clip from? It confirmed everything about my theory on Mariah’s confidence when singing live. Tbh it kinda sounds like she has some sort of stage fright, I honestly think she should get therapy or do some type of training to ease her anxiety levels on stage

Swollen vocal chords close worse...she is actually doing falsetto in the superhigh notes than...when singing with pipe register, your chords close ( queen of the night, mozart for example)...I suppose her to be more of a dramatic soprano with loads of agility instead of being a real coloratura like Natalie Dessay...dramatic sopranos start as altos often....on the other hand, she def has the notes for being a real coloratura ( f 5 is the note, where the pipe register in classical singing starts normally, a g 5 only real coloraturas have)...I am a high coloratura myself, could sing c6 without warming up, when I was 17....I am 44 now and the notes are still there without doing anything for it-a light and coloratura voice is genetic, as well as thick vocal chords ( Mariah def has superthick ones, also her speaking tone is dark, velvety thick andcery full.....a very ty beautiful rare instrumental voice...she is sooooo talented...and so intelligent...she has perfect pitch....loved her masterclass as well)

She should start taking Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa herbal cough syrup like some other singers do. It's more than a cough syrup.

She should have had the nodes removed. She would have had nothing to lose. She can no longer sing.

I am old enough to remember Mariah liked being interviewed while laying down and her !bad side" was covered by hair! That's how old I am!
