The day that MICHAEL JORDAN could FLY !! 1988 Slam Dunk Contest.
Beyond the fact that he had already been one of the great figures of the league, the year 1988 was the one that ended up catapulting Jordan to a pedestal from which he would never get off again. And what happened that February 7 during the All-Star in his stadium, would play a key role in that.
Michael Jordan's first three calls to the All-Star Game were far from having the brilliance that his legend would indicate. In his debut, in 1985, he scored 7 points in 22 minutes, shooting 2-9 from the field. The following year he was selected, but a major injury to one of his feet sidelined him from the event. 1987 was slightly better: 11 points in 28 minutes, but with an irregular 5-12 from the court, no rebounds and 5 turnovers.
And then, the All-Star Game of 1988 arrived, no less than in the city of Chicago, and everything would change.

El tiempo todo lo termina y es una lastima porque se van los mejores momentos de la vida. Yo no veía el básquetbol pero cuando Jordan surgió me atrajo la atención y me hice aficionado a los toros de Chicago más que nada porque Jordan estaba en el equipo. Lo ví ganar todos los títulos y lo vi terminar su carrera y cuando él terminó mi afición al básquetbol también acabo.
