Super underrated theme and character. I think I actually like Dark Meta Knight the most out of all the knights. Edit: WOW, I almost forgot how GOOD his triple deluxe theme is. No wonder he’s my favorite.

Y’know I think the Shadow/Dark Characters are meant to represent feelings the normal counterparts barely show Shadow Kirby: Not Evil, But sort of Show’s Kirby’s mischievous side. He attacks in Kirby Fighters 2, in what’s stated to be a prank where he doesn’t know his own strength. He’s also far more serious about chasing any intruders out of his world compared to Kirby. He isn’t evil, but he’s far more serious, while also being more mischievous, implying Kirby isn’t 100% positive Shadow Dedede: His Pause description states that “His true foe is the blackness in his own heart”. Which could be referring to the grudge he still holds against Kirby, even though he sort of stopped showing it. That would explain why Dark Matter not only frequently possesses him, But would explain why it has more control over Him (To where as most beings getting corrupted by Dark Matter still use there normal abilities, it takes over Dedede’s whole body as implied by his Stomach Teeth and Eye attacks in Dreamland 3/64. Though Dedede has acted as a friend, that negativity still lives on inside him Dark Meta Knight: Pretty much never plays fair. Was very keen on killing kirby on the spot, as shown in the intro. Trying to get the real Meta Knight in trouble by disguising as him and using unfair tactics in battle with the mirror. Star allies does state the Jamba Heart corrupted him, due to a wild streak (Unknown what that is at the moment) and he DID try ruling over dreamland with the Halberd. Though he fights more fair now, his past implies he originally did not Dark Taranza: Seeing as how he has a lot of Bee elements in his design (Yellow and Black Body and Stinger) It’s clear that he’s meant to represent Taranza’s feelings for sectonia. Who he still longs to see again. It’s possible Dark Taranza was the one who corrupted the Mirror, seeing as how Taranza had heavy feeling for her even before she became a queen, it’s possible his Shadow counterpart wanted her to be the most beautiful she could be as well. Although that’s just speculation. Either way, it’s kinda clear his feelings for Sectonia had something to do with it Dark Mind/King D Mind: Presuming Dark Mind is Zero’s mirror world counterpart. It’s not a surprise they barely show any differences in terms of personality. Zero was mad of nothing but hatred, negativity and vengeance. It had no other feelings a part from that. So, of course, Dark Mind is just as evil. His first form resembles Nightmare, But pretty much the same thing applies. It could be proof of Nightmare being related to Void Termina but that’s a pretty large stretch.

I would like to see an actual rematch with Dark Meta Knight in a future game in the main canon where he takes his revenge against Kirby and/or Meta Knight since the battle in Triple Deluxe is non-canon meaning that he isn’t shattered and is still alive as seen in Star Allies.

Although Magolor is my favourite Dream friend charcter as it has ‘mysterious dimensional’ music themes, Dark Meta Knight is also my favourite charcter because it contains ‘suspense’ epic music themes (especially in Kirby Fighters 2) in the series. Both Kirby and the amazing mirror and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, although their stories are different, are considered ‘dimensional’ games.
