i cried while watching this. not only because the memories from 2023, but the meaning is just so beautiful. as someone who struggles with bulimia, this song has helped me realize that having an ed does not make me any less of a person and does not decrease my value in any way. i’m struggling, but i’m still hot asf. i am a queencard, you are a queencard, we’re all hot as hell but we just need to find it within ourselves.

gidle is one of the most versatile kpop groups i’ve ever seen! they’ve done so many concepts and aced every single one. i love how soyeon didn’t end up getting plastic surgery done at the end to convey the message that you’re beautiful just the way you are. i also love how they use references like kim kardashian and ariana, and hype boy in allergy

So QUEENCARD is a phrase which students used to call their school belle in the 1980s (I bet students nowadays don’t even know this phrase). But this song literally brings me back memories of my childhood and the message is so profound. Well done g-idle. Well done Soyeon!

their comeback this time is actually so emotional for me that i'm crying my heart out... the fact that they encourage us at the end tells us how much they know that most of us have insecurities of our own about being pretty, lovely, sexy, basically being "perfect" on certain POVs and the urge to be reborn as "the better person."

rather of saying "you should be you", they said "i feel you" instead, to tell us that each of us have rights to embrace our insecurities.

For those who are confused on the storyline: In Allergy, all of them have their own insecurities and Soyeon wants to be a queen with the other members. In Queencard, she turns herself into everyone, to every member of G-IDLE then she realizes each one of us can be a Queen, she doesn't need to change herself because she's already a queen despite our own individuality. And insecurities? we all have it, she describes it as an allergy and loving yourself is the only way to cure it. I FEEL YOU. Also these references are from the movies, music videos and people we look up to, and we don't need to be like them. Let's break the stereotype.

I really love the ending of both Allergy and Queencard..it send us a strong message if you really analyze it..at the end of Allergy the doctor says "when you wake up you will be a queen" and at the end of Queencard when soyeon wakes up and realises she's a queen just as she is...and on a personal note, whether someone had ps or not, i believe you are at your best when you love yourself

also, Soyeon is truly a QWEEN. She's the leader of the group, writes most (all?) of their songs but DOES NOT hog the spotlight at all, and let's the other girls shine and gives them all momenTs to shine. This is such a good song + mv. I'm truly gagged. It's been on repeat since yesterday.

When you look at the lyrics as a whole, this song is so powerful. As a native English speaker, if I were to have only looked at the English lyrics, I would have missed the whole point of the song. This song truly is an anthem for people, but especially females, to embrace who they are. We are beautiful just as we are. And it's amazing to have a popular group like (G)I-dle spreading this message.
