I’ve skipped this song every time mostly because of its length. I finally listened to it for the first time yesterday and instantly regretted my earlier decisions. Today, I spent 40 minutes listening to this throughout the workday and now at home. This is indeed something special. Taylor doesn’t just write songs, she conveys stories. She paints such vivid pictures with words.

when i had really deep depression i cried like 4-5 hours a day and that was the time i first met this song. With this song i felt relieved and 'all too well'. Finally i was able to overcome my depression. Taylor Swift is my savior.

I never considered myself a Taylor Swift fan, so when this version came out (shoot this whole album) I thought the hype was ridiculous. Even made me cancel my WSJ subscription 😅 but about a month ago or so i finally checked this song out (as I came to realize this past year I am indeed a fan). I was working, listening to it and by the middle I just started crying. I can't listen to this song and not cry, so I don't listen to it often. It is so detailed, filled with so much imagery that it makes me feel like I was there too and it's raw, painful, hollow. 100% DEFINITELY my favorite TS song

Even though she wrote the song herself, she's a true pro when she sings the 10-minute version live without even looking at the prompter.

The original version gave the feeling that the story ended and it is painful and sad while this version gives the feeling that the story ended and it is close now and we moved on (especially the ending part of this song)
