I love how you can clearly tell the difference between a dog and a cat person: When the cat’s eye glow up in the dark, he says it’s “terrifying”. When I saw them glow up I said “hi baby!”
  • One thing I really liked is how in Midtown, there's a robot sleeping on a couch outside, and you can jump on his belly and sleep with him
  • @runic_raptor
Maybe not an Easter egg per say, but at the very end of the game, the cat looks back at the camera (the player) and slow blinks. In cats this is a sign of trust, and honestly it made me burst out crying
  • I don't know if anyone else pointed this out yet but you missed a big one: I believe it was in the Antvillage section there is a robot named Isaac who is sleeping and if you talk to him he's dreaming of "electric zurks" everywhere, which is definitely a reference to Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, just a little story that was later remade into a movie called Blade Runner...
  • @DonMoef
Minor spoiler: The cameras are noding when you meow, because they are controlled by B12 and the robot wants you to find its lab. B12 confirms this later on, when the robot explain how it couldn't believe seing a cat on the cameras in the dead city.
  • I couldn't help but laugh at the first "Easter egg". 🤣 That's just what cat eyes do when they reflect light. There's a scientific term for it, but it's not scary at all. Just natural and cool attention to detail.

The term ‘tapetum lucidum’ is Latin, meaning ‘bright tapestry.’ It refers to a reflective layer inside the eye present in many nocturnal animals. This iridescent layer inside the eye reflects the light that passes through the retina. It reflects it through the retina a second time, essentially allowing one beam of light to light the animal’s vision twice! When the light is reflected out of the eye, we get the classic glowing effect of a cat’s eyes, referred to as ‘eyeshine’ in science.

The evil company in the game - Neco, pronounced literally the same as the Japanese word 'Cat' (ねこ - Neko).
  • The drone B12 is a reference to BlueTwelve Studio. One of the studio that worked on the game
  • @lexington.
There is another game referenced in Stray, and that is Dungeons & Dragons. There are two NPCs talking about it in the apartment block of Midtown, one being a player and the other being the DM.

This game is literally a roller coaster of emotions, it made me happy, scared and saddened me and the ending is different from what i expected(i didnt go in-depth in the ending to avoid spoilers)
  • @KyuubiZyn
After you finish the tower and go back into Momo’s apartment, if you keep skipping through B12’s dialogue as he’s entering the code to leave, he will keep getting the passcode wrong.
  • @KiBaby11911
You completely missed that some of the pool balls were actually cat toys!!😭😂
  • @IamAJoe
The Nujabes easter egg hits hard. Dude's music carried me through alot of hard times and still does. RIP
  • There's another Easter egg that was missed: If you go into one of the robots buildings in the slums you can find a robot holding a book and when interacted with the robot , it will basically explain the Ship of Theseus which is the theory that explains would something still be the same if all it's parts removed and replaced with new ones , would that be the Ship of Theseus, but In this case the robot talks about it's arm being replaced and then the body of him , would be still be the same robot after that if all his parts replaced PLEASE READ
  • There's another odd thing that you seemed to have missed at the beginning of the game before the backpack is acquired. If you lose your way getting to the companion, just meow near the strings of light and they'll roll the lights in the direction you need to go.
  • @OGTiTan
The Back to the Future one goes deeper than you think. In Back to the Future 3, Marty goes back to the 1800s and runs into his great, great grandfather, Seamus McFly
  • I found it funny that even if it is not an Easter egg, You can trip the security bots that roam around the big hologram in the town.(Stray)
  • @James2005.
I think having a bag on the cats head just inverts controls. From my experience it wasnt that random, just inverted.
