I'm American, and many of us do not behave like Meghan.

No Michael. It’s not cultural, it’s called bullying. Why do people make excuses for bad, unacceptable behaviour?! Release the report.
  • As a South Carolina girl raised in California in the 1960’s married to a 2nd generation Italian-American boy raised in west Philly, I can say America has many different cultures. But rude, arrogant, disrespectful a-hole isn’t one of them.

Oh come on, what a load of crap. It has nothing to do with it being a cultural difference. The late Queen called Meghan evil. Enough said.
  • @PaulDonnam-xs4kg
Bullying is bullying is nothing to do with cultural differences.
  • I'm American and that is not how we speak. Please don't make excuses for her, she needs to be held responsible for her rude and cruel behavior to others.
  • @semper9492
I'm an American and blaming her bad behavior on being an American is an utter insult to the whole country. There has been a big turnover of staff at Archewell, too. Coincidence?
  • @firepig33
Speaking as an English man, l’ve found the majority of Americans have impeccable manners.
  • @SeaBear77
What an ignorant thing to say! RUDENESS AND BULLYING ARE NOT PART OF AMERICAN CULTURE! That makes me so angry.
  • @user-bd2eh1vn2k
Stop making excuses that it’s because she’s American!! It’s insulting to the American people! Omg
  • @lianecook9437
I'm tired of being told Americans are culturally rude
  • @maryoleary2037
Don't excuse Meghan by saying her behaviour is a cultural difference. No matter the country, common courtesy is expected. It is not fair to label all Americans as being rude like Meghan.
  • @lizbetjohn8493
NOT all Americans act or speak like that!!!! A lot of us will say 'May I have and then add a please and a thank you.' Please STOP lumping all Americans into one basket. Some of us saw Meghan for what she was on day one and have never been fans.....

I really do take exception to Michael Cole’s’ blanket description of American manners. What rubbish! As an Aussie who has been to America twice, the one thing I brought away with me was there incredible courteousness, respect and good manners. I am baffled as to why he would say that.
  • @scribbledink
Not everyone in America is rude, and showing no manners. It's a Meghan Markle thing, not an American thing.
  • @kerithh
I’d like to say, as an American, that it is NOT the cultural norm to order people about. We don’t all say, “Can I get…?” or, “I’ll have…” when ordering at a restaurant. You’d be just as likely to hear, “I would like ____, please.” Or “Could I have ___, please?” I would say Americans are maybe less formal, but a lack of formality is not the same as a lack of manners.
  • @richardwait1206
It is absolutely not a cultural difference most Americans do not behave in the way you describe. A bully is still a bully in any country.
  • @sherylb421
Not a cultural difference, for sure. Rudeness is rudeness.
