  • I can’t believe that I just watched an oil change video on car that I cannot afford 🤫
  • Last time I watched the full video of the Rolls Royce incident, only 1 guy died (the guy in front) the other guy (that ran to the rear) only broke both his legs. He's still alive. Also, when changing the oil, no one ever drain it completely, only draining what's been sitting in the oil pan, the engine internals still has about a quart (and maybe a half) of oil that never made it into the pan, so it doesn't matter if changing when hot or cold. Good video.
  • I don't think it's going to help too many people, but you have made the information available. It's great to see someone who set their goals a little higher, willing to do the job themselves and are not scared of doing so! What you have shown is that nearly anyone can change their own oil. Moreover you stressed the importance of regular changes. Well done and much respect.

I seriously doubt that most of the people watching this are ever going to be changing the oil on a car like this, but I love how there's still, hundreds of thousands of people, like me, who are just curious as to how the oil is changed on it.
  • Despite of criticism, it's great you showed the complete process. Thank you
  • I came to see what kind of a nightmare the procedure was. I left actually learning something about oil changes. 'didn't expect to learn anything useful from an oil change video. excellent video. you're a legitimate youtube asset.

Thanks for this! In the extremely unlikely event I'd have to change the oil on a RR Phantom, I now know how to do it! You learn something new every day! Regardless of this, there's something very relaxing about watching other people service cars, though.
  • Get the Mann filter and trash that crap STP filter. That's nothing but trouble.
  • If these 2 young guys observed the car comin off the lift. They should had ran away from the car and not go under or hold on to the car. They had plenty of time to run away from danger. Today they could've been alive. My condolences goes out to their family. May their soul R.I.P.
  • This exact procedure can be done on an 8 cylinder Volvo S80, done it many times. A couple of helpful hints on the oil change though.. tie a rag around your wrist on the hand that removes the drain plug and screws off the filter housing. It will stop the (hot) oil from going straight to your arm pit. The other is, just let the plug fall into the oil change funnel. It has something similar to a slotted drain in the center and won't allow the plug to go down the chute and you get your hand out the way of the oil a little faster. One last thing.. if I had a Rolls Royce, I wouldn't want to be chauffeured around. I like to drive too much, oh, and I'd change the oil as well. Nice video!

As a mechanic of 41 years, working on all types of vehicles from Mercedes to Rolls, Cortinas to Lada Nivas. I have never experienced a situation where I had to remove the oil filler cap to stop the vacuum and allow the oil to drain.. Go figure.
  • @saltynutz6996
Well...I came to see how to change an ac compressor on a Nissan Sentra. .and now I'm watching someone change oil on a rolls Royce...well played YouTube. Well played.
  • @sloopypotato

  • @jhogan1960
My 2012 Sorento has one of those enclosed filters. Thankfully they put it on top of the engine. Great video.
  • @darkdregen1
Very informative vid!! Thx for being the first person putting up RR oil change vid, solved my long time mystery about how does it work.
  • @freeagent8225
Its comforting to know that changing the oil is the same in other normal cars, they aren't so special at all.
  • @mclare9817
Phatass mechanic with his baseball hat backwards climbing up a ladder to take the oil cap off is only exceeded by 'I hope it doesnt fill more than it drains' comment.... How many Roller Owners routinely use your Garage?😂
  • @majorbreak2497
Dam you just showed 2 people dying like its nothing savage
  • @fraknu
Thank you for sharing this with us! Some day I will get my own Phantom, until then I appreciate you showing how you take care of it, so I am prepared when the day comes! Greetings from Germany!
