The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (US$241,300/CAD$267,300 starting) takes no prisoners. By all accounts, its a road-legal race car. It makes more power than the regular GT3 and has been tarred and feathered in carbon fibre and aero. Thomas and James see how it performs on the road, and then take it to the Throttle House test track for a laptime. We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

This GT3 RS looks like the perfect race car toy I wanted as a kid.

“I’m not the only knob in the car” is topgear-level writing. Well done.
  • @SkyyMi
That lap time is the definition of what happens when a brand keeps its core design the same and just forever persures perfection. Looks fantastic

This has to be a contender for the best videos you guys have put out. The production quality and entertainment was amazing, never felt like I got bored or wanted to skip ahead like many other car reviews I watched from other channels.

In the current top 10 fastest Nurburgring lap times.. there are 6 Porsche's.. FIVE of them are either the GT2 or GT3. The surgical level of engineering the people at Porsche deliver is just.. beyond overpowered !!

Roof fins are for moving hot air from front radiators left/right instead of going into intake. Porsche explained that in their presentations when car was launched.

This video reiterates how great of a car the Viper is/was. The Gen 5 Viper platform came out 10 years ago. It has 3 pedals, fixed aero and still is only 1 second off the time of this incredible GT3RS. WOW!

So...in my garage watching this video while trying to change plugs in my 86' 911 I found myself making a gin and tonic, throwing my shop towel over my shoulder and coming back to sit on the floor against the wall, restarting said video and just appreciating the quality of not only the GT3 but the crew that put this video together. Nicely done everyone... Late to the party but wanted to give my quiet 'kudos'...

Throttle House hot laps in a GT3 RS? Yes please!

Freaking solid lap time. Porsche really took this one to the extreme. Serious track weapon. Love it!

0:52 James always seems genuinely pleased (and a tiny bit surprised?) that he's James.

That lap looked like it was being played at 1.5x. That thing is CRAZY

My favorite thing about these videos is the fact that you two very clearly enjoy each others company
  • Still can’t believe how insane the Viper ACR truly was. Wish they’d make another one

I’ve seen 23 reviews of the GT3 RS. A 24th video is still a pleasant surprise.

"Unlike Verstappen, you don't have to press it 50 F times" killed me 😂

I've been following you guys since before 1 mill subs and just wanted to thank you both (and the team behind the scenes) for filling the Top Gear shaped void in my heart. I don't think I'd do any justice to both you and TG Trio by insinuating that you're both the same but you show both rare and everyday cars by adding great content and humour that doesn't take away from the point of the video. Not to mention y'all totally got Margot for that Purosangue video. Here's to 10 million more deserved subs.

Trackside settings had me rolling lol
