Remembering Ron McLaurine

Ron McLaurine was a larger than life figure I had the great fortune of knowing for some time. Myself and Marcus McLaurine, his son, sprung into action to film this short documentary on this great man immediately after his passing. Our goal was to get this film done in time for his memorial and luckily we succeeded. This was the least we could do for this wonderful person who was nothing but a caring, supportive, creative, force in both the local music, and film industry of Flint, Michigan.

Special Thanks to Jeff Swerdan and John A. Benjamin for providing some behind the scenes shots of Ron being himself for this short film.

I would also like to thank Redelia McLaurine, Brent McLaurine, Ronna Nelson, Marcus McLaurine, Cierah McLaurine, Jeff Swerdan, John A. Benjamin, Rashanda Boone, Michael Richardson and Breanna Noonan for their time to be interviewed to help tell Ron's story.

The closing song was a song done by Ron himself, and his son, Marcus McLurine titled, "My Tempo."

Rest in peace, Ron. Thank you for everything you have ever done for us. Great father, brother, son, and friend to us all.
