You should have included Yoshi in the SMG2 death clip, since Yoshi even has his own voiceline when he and Mario fall together. Mario: "Woooaah!" Yoshi: "Waaaaah!"

I remember playing a level in Super Mario World where you have to use the P-Balloons to go up. And after purposely killing Mario by colliding into one of the Paratroopas, Mario kept falling to his death. I got to see Mario's SMW death sprite in a really long vertical area until the death music ended.

You can also fall to your death in Mario's debut game, the original Donkey Kong. I believe you also can in Yoshi's Island because I think some of the sections where you play as Mario instead of Yoshi have bottomless pits, but I'm not completely sure about that.

I personally did not grow up with Mario, but once, I dusted off my mom's NES to play Super Mario and I found it very difficult (but fun) to play, took me quite a while to get past the first level, then I gave the controller to my mom and she basically breezed through a whole level first try 😂 She hasn't touched the game for 30 years.
