fun fact: even if you have a premium account in tf2 you cant use voice or text chat if your steam account isnt activated (meaning you have to spend at least 5 dollars on steam)

F2ps are the equivalent of children in kitchen. They have no idea what theyβre doing, but if you let them cook, sometimes they can make a decent meal

I was f2p to play for about 800 hours in TF2 the ability to not talk was very much a handicap I couldn't say there were spies I couldn't call for medic I couldn't say that the enemy medic had Uber it was very hard to play with no communication

I would join a petition to restore at least Voice Commands to F2P accounts. Just at bare minimum!

Just started playing yesterday. One guy did a narrator voice, encouraged us and played songs for us. What a gigachad. Couldnβt talk to him tho. Gave him a steam award. I love this community.

As someone who prided himself on being a F2P for several years and unfortunately made the tough decision after these updates to give in and buy a key, I would like to thank you for speaking up for us. Free-to-Plays are the blood of the TF2 community, and to see them stepped upon like this has been hard. You're right, Casual just doesn't feel right without their voices.

i got tf2 pretty recently without even knowing this was a problem, and boy was i severely disappointed when i learned i was locked out of the most basic functions of communicating in a team based game.

as an F2P i get constantly kicked because i dont call out spies, making my team think im crossteaming, i hope this doesnt only happen to me since it is annoying to deal with

As someone who stopped being f2p like 6 days ago, it's definitely rough. And until last Smissmas my backpack was completely filled all the time and I didn't even have half the weapons Ironically, I finally got the Gibus yesterday.

F2P's are the future of a game like tf2. Make fun of them all you want, but their fresh and new journey in tf2 is the reason tf2 has lasted for as long as it has for the most part. We were all f2ps and/or new at one point. They remind you the freshness of being new, and yeah, tf2 is a game, it's suppose to be fun.

Plus this doesn't just apply to team fortress 2. It happened in Counter-Strike Global Offensive on June 3, 2021. And exactly 300,000 Players left the game in one month and lost.
