A story of a ballet student with an eating disorder. I did the best I could with placing the subtitles correctly so EXCUSE me if it isn't perfect lol. I am getting some friends to perhaps help me with the other parts...which are coming soon so DONT ASK.

Did anyone else think the beginning was a little creepy? I'm sorry but she does not die at the end as many people say she does.

Very true. But Balanchine had a preference for tiny (meaning short and thin) dancers. The trend is now turning to tall, but still very thin dancers. Which is even more dangerous because the tall girls have to be so much thinner than normal in order to keep their weight down.

By the way if you didn't know in Europe, young girls under the age of 10 or 11 don't have the top part of a bathing suit so its comepletely ok

I don't understand how they thought not eating properly back then was okay for ballet dancers. If you are too skinny, you don't have the proper strength to do anything.

It's interesting that the mother discussed inspecting her baby's "upper turnout" (hip socket) and "lower turnout" (turnout at and below knee socket). I know they teach never to use lower turnout but reality simply doesn't work that way for that's required at the professional level.
