  • Surprisingly, I never knew you didn’t get intermodal trains on your subdivision until now.
  • As someone who lives in Chicagoland and sees double stack intermodal trains every time I go railfanning, I am glad you got to see them too.
  • So BNSF had to use a longer detour route because of a lack of crews! Imagine that!💀 Seriously though, nice catch, man!

There is no longer any doubt in my mind that you are my favorite railfan/foamer of all time. Your drone shots are always good, sometimes great, and a few select ones are truly stunning...works of art even. All of your camera work and the angles you shoot are so good and fun to watch. And as an added bonus, your narration is both humorous and interesting. Keep it up!!
  • I regularly see double stacks on the Albert Lea sub in manifests, but full intermodal trains are also rare! Seeing them on the Hinckley tickled my brain

When the BNSF Mendota sub floods the UP Line Near me gains like 15 trains and amtrak.
  • Also, for the second train I realized that the signals on your route are just like mine (where they turn red when a train is coming and turn green after until another train comes)
  • When the merger happened, all the sudden there were full intermodal and mixed freight with intermodal trains in front of my house (cpkc Davenport sub), sometimes, even the incredibly rare coal train, every year the christmas train goes by, and more recently, cp 2816.

Brother this is how I felt when anything came on my neck of the woods (The Yates City Subdivision in Central IL). I wish your videos would've been around during those times, I was so young and it was the early days of YouTube (2010-12). Watching these gives me such a nostalgia back to those times, I even still use the same camcorder i used back then for my current videos on this channel I'm commenting with, you are the goat!

While derailments are never fun to hear about It’s really cool that your line was chosen for the detour
  • @NWFProductions
What is absolutely insane to think about for me and the BNSF derailment that happened is that it could have possibly been a lot worse. Very few if any people have noticed this but that day's eastbound Empire Builder was running about 3 hours late, the only reason it was late was because of a freight train that had mechanical issues in Chester, Montana. What's insane is that if you do the math, if the Empire Builder was running on time it would have been in a 10-mile proximity to where the derailment happened, it could have been the Amtrak instead of that intermodal, I thank god and his angles, because I do not think this is a coincidence.
  • Nice! Although it's a daily run csx i146 (north Baltimore ohio to Columbus ohio bulk intermodel) Which heads to ridgeway on one amongst the many lines to toledo. South from ridgeway is the scottslawn sub named so due to connecting to the fertilizer plant. Beforehand I had next to never seen anything on these lines despite there up to ten trains per day due to most of these being early morning or later night runs. However one day I was heading back west from Columbus noticing a headlight on the high Iron visible from interstate route 33 near the cemetery at oakdale apon getting to the crossing the gates drop down to guard for i146. The leading unit isn't great just another es44ac however I never thought I'd see anything in that area let alone a high priority intermodel
  • @VoyagerVentures
That kinda reminds me of the time BNSF had to send their Z Trains through the Union Pacific Spokane Trackage due to heavy track maintenance in Sandpoint Idaho. It was very interesting to see!
  • @MatthewChenault
I can see why these are marked as high priority. They have a combination of Amazon, FedEx, and UPS trailers on them; all of which are time sensitive cargo.
  • @TwinLitz2
I see stack trains in edmonds all the time. I caught a SD75M with a stack train, but luckily there’s a lot of SD75M‘s at Edmonds
  • @RailRider9571
No one is safe from the intermodal invasion now. thats all I see. To the point where I foam over a manifest or a grain train LOL. But hey, a train is a train.
  • When the MRL trestle collapsed in Montana we were taking trains different directions on our sub too.
