DIY Tubular Control Arms

This video shows tips and techniques for building tubular control arms from scratch. The control arms used in the video are prototypes.
The final versions, will change in design after testing as evaluation. The biggest change will be less weld joints to add strength.

    Love the PAD tube idea. Consider drilling and taping holes in your baseplate to thread bolts up through to act as adjustable posts to hold and dial in the tubes as you build, instead of using what ever you have to prop the tubes up at the desired height.

    88-98 Chevy k1500,2500,3500 silverado trucks need someone to make lower control arms. Someone would make a killing since they’re discontinued!
  • Where did you get the scissors ? I’m a purchasing agent for a furniture company and the longest I buy is 12”. Love the video. What will I need to do to lower a suspension?
  • Those look like the stud and bolt type ball joints as opposed to the tapered nut type. What vehicle are those for?
