Saying "One more time" 10 times in a row has to be the biggest compliment to a game dev.
  • @dancovich
The first game alone is better than anything I even managed to create. I don't know how to feel about this 😅

Hate to say it, but the fact that every game was a polished gem really made this video go from good to excellent. If there were 50 of these videos on this channel I would be settling in for an evening.

"I promise I'm not a weeb, my wife is japanese... and I'm a weeb." - This belongs on a shirt
  • @NitramiuZ
"I wanted to use the assets in an unexpected way, so immediately my mind went to 3D" - and then 3 out of 4 games are 3D haha. Such cool games! I didn't know about the on rail shooter genre, and those animations looked sooo smooth.

That last game got so intense at the end, with Bram and Crigz with one heart trying to beat the bosses. I couldn't help but cheer out loud😂

Other devs: OK I finished the gameplay with 6 hours to go, so now I'm going to implement a few decorative features I saw in other games. Me: OK it's been 6 months and I'm almost done making the title screen. I can't wait to start working on the game! (I can, and I don't wanna)

I just started learning Godot today for a project in uni, and watching this game jam made me feel super motivated. Mad respect to each creator, their skill is really impressive. Also I loved the "I promise I'm not a weeb, my wife is Japanese... And I'm a weeb"
  • Please make more of these! I would love to see you guys do this more, it's very cool!

This was so cool. I imagine it takes a ton of effort on everyone's part, but I'd love to see more of these.

What a great video! This was a joy to watch. I think the format is incredibly smart because it breaks up the video into multiple parts and each developer had a reasonable amount of time to make a semi polished experience. This is partly thanks to the provided art assets, sounds, and music. The death animations and sound effects on the third game will cracking me up!
