With this video I take you with me to visit one of the most beautiful and well-known attractions of the wonderful Lake Como, in the Lombardy Region which is located in the north-west of Italy.
Let's go and discover the fantastic the Bellano Gorge together, which is located right in the characteristic town of Bellano, on the shores of the lake.
It is an incredible and impressive natural canyon, dating back as far as 15 million years ago.
In fact, over the course of the millennia, the erosive work of the Adda glacier and the Pioverna stream dug out the rocky walls, creating caves, caverns, suggestive ravines and white, shiny, gigantic potholes.
The vegetation has grown spontaneously along the walls, carving out its own space and in some points assuming an almost tropical connotation.
The Ravine can be visited by following it entirely on footbridges anchored to the rocky walls, alternating with short stairways
In this way, one can enjoy the extraordinary beauty of this unique place in an absolutely scenographic and impressive way, accompanied at every step by the roar of the tumultuous flowing water of the stream.
The deep gorge appears very narrow in some points, then opening up into larger areas, emerald-colored pools, waterfalls, waterfalls and very steep vertical walls.
A scenario shaped by nature that really leaves you breathless.
Lake Como is in itself an extraordinary natural beauty, known in every corner of the world. I strongly advise you, if you come to visit it, to include this location in your travel plans as well. You will be really impressed.

Dear sis Renata, it has been for awhile since your last video. I hope you have been doing well. I'm glad that today I can come here to discover more about Italy with you. I have been in lake Como a few times but this part is totally new for me. The waterfalls, the mountain of stones and the stunning view of the lake Como from the village Bellano is amazing. The blue sky there and the view of the lake in the last seconds are just like in a dream. I miss the beautiful views and weather of Italy. Hopefully to come back for a visit soon. I greatly enjoyed this. What a beautiful place and I was unaware of the Gorge of Bellano. Lake Como is a special place in the world. I have been to Italy three times and have traveled through most of it but am sorely missing Lake Como and Milan. Places that I absolutely must visit.
