This is why Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich loved Slingerland, although they often played Radio Kings. Will be interesting to see the new DW owned Slingerlands, eventually. Great drumming and sound....those floor toms ...magic !

I recently purchased a set of late 60s slingerland drums from guitar center,in light blue pearl,22,13,16, man what clarity ,sustain,resonance,there tuning range is at all levels,I have a dw classic kit made to get close to that radio king sound,mahagony poplar mahagony shells,great sounding,but you cannot replicate the real vintage sound,I also have a vintage Ludwig kit ,that I bought in 1969,they are no where close to those slingerland I bought,the only drum kit I've had to compete with the sling,s was a 1963 Roger,s bnb lugged kit,just my 2cents,

Lots of different years in that kit. Nice job on the, blue. Hard to find. I own several in sparkle silver. Very nice playing & recording.

Best sounding drums, favoured by Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich years ago, in particular, the Radio Kings. Good to see DW about to make them later this year. Can’t wait to see them...won’t be cheap.
