Absolutely amazing work. I don't understand how people can do this. I would just stare at the original and wouldn't know where to go! I wish I had an artistic vision! As for when you say "They didn't bother to clean this up" or mentions on "dithering", this is probably because Sonic Team had composite in mind as most people used that connection back in the nineties. With that in mind and people playing these on CRT's, it would blend and look more 3D than it actually is. In today's world with emulation or people using RGB SCART, the pixels are a lot sharper so the dithering becomes more obvious. Basically, the whole "Sonic 1 waterfall" theory is in play here. Also, nice chapter reference at 15:45, well played, sir!

I'm in love with all 3 of these but ESPECIALLY Sonic 3. I hope someone is able to mod it into Sonic 3 AIR sometime, because I can't go back to the old title after seeing this remake.

Very cool, well done! My brain went a bit funny looking at the sped-up editing so I had to skip all that and just go to the results but that was easily done and they are really well done, especially Sonic 3 which... goodness me, nostalgia is a thing isn't it? I didn't remember it looking THAT bad! That's pretty bad! Especially well done bringing that one in-line.
