Some of you ARMY said you can’t hear properly sometimes when I talk over the audio, so for next video I will try and fix that! Thanks for the patience! 🙏🏻
  • I don't know if anyone has shared updates with you as of recently about BTS but I hope this will catch you up a bit. In June 2022 BTS released their anthology album called Proof to celebrate 9 years as a group and announced they would be pursuing solo albums instead of group music for the time being, but that they would continue to make other content together like their variety show Run BTS. Soon after that announcement J-Hope released his first solo album called Jack In the Box and also headlined Lollapalooza which is a major music festival in the US. In a bid for South Korea to host the 2030 world expo BTS performed a major concert in Busan, South Korea for free. Soon after the concert was held it was announced that BTS members would be enlisting in the Korean military starting with Jin who is the oldest (reports say he's enlisting December 13th). Military service is mandatory for all able bodied men in South Korea for 18-21 months. The other members will enlist after their own solo activities are completed but according to their company they should reunite in 2025. That means the other 6 members will probably enlist throughout 2023 or early 2024. Technically they can wait until 30 to enlist but I'm thinking they are enlisting earlier than they have to so they can get it done and over with so they can come back as a group sooner. Let me make this clear in case you ever hear anything to the contrary. BTS consider it an honor and a duty to serve their country and they have never demanded special treatment or exemption. Jin released a solo song called The Astronaut last month that he worked on with Coldplay as a goodbye for now present for ARMY before he enlists and he got to perform it in Argentina with Coldplay. RM will be releasing his first solo album called Indigo on December 2nd and Jungkook just released a song for the FIFA world cup soundtrack called Dreamers. BTS is still very much a group and they have no plans on disbanding anytime soon, so lets support them as much as we can in all their future endeavors.
  • Yessssss!!! Thankyou. We never get tired of watching a BTS guide. Taylor did a fantastic job!!!
  • It took three years to form the group. RM was the start of it and the group was formed around him. There were many trainees until they whittled them down to 6 around RM. That's why there is no "next BTS" which big companies have been desperately trying to recreate. Their chemistry and uniqueness can't be copied successfully. All are driving each other to be perfectionists in whatever they start. All do very successful solo projects and yet stay together. They declared this year they are taking a break from group activities and concentrating on solo works mostly because they need to go through obligatory military service for two years starting from oldest member, Jin (this December) but they also talked to us frankly saying that they've burnt out as a group and they need to explore solo work, grow up and regroup to be able to do this group when they are in their 30s and 40s. This is what they are doing now, dishing out solo work, going into the military and hopefully all regrouping in 2025. 💜💜💜

BTS is the 4th Most Awarded Musician with almost 800 awards now, next to Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Taylor Swift. They're also 5x Grammy Nominees. Yes, somehow more people around the world got interested in South Korea because of BTS. They held a free concert recently in Busan, South Korea to help their country's bid for the World Expo, where an estimated 60k-80k tourists attended and 50m watched the livestream. In their Las Vegas concert, the whole city turned purple and became Borahaegas.

If I've said this once, I'll say it again....never underestimate the meaning of their lyrics....which can be very deep and meaningful. As you know by now, BTS is unllike other Kpop groups as they were given freedoms other groups don't have...including the writing and direction of their songs. Their message is WHY I am ARMY. Once you begin watching their MV's, please check to see if there is an explanation video for the song....usually found on channel DKDKTV where David or Dan, in English, gives the meaning from a Korean perspective. Doing an MV back to back with the explanation is great because we love to see a reactor's reaction to the true meaning of the songs. Also, when this video talked about there being a story woven throughout their music, in which Jin is the main character, they are referring to something called Bangtan Universe. ARMYs can direct you on how to learn about it, but just know that some of their songs contain images/references to the BU. Thank you for taking the time to learn about each of the members...I think if all reactors took the time to 'know' them, they would appreciate BTS so much more. Soon you'll be learning about Korea....society, culture and even the language :) ARMY grandma

Hitman Bang had the idea to start the group, he had auditions for rappers to put together a Hip Hop/Rap group, RM was the first one he signed in 2010, and he built the group around RM. some of the rappers left during the trainee period and Hitman Bang had a second audition in 2011, and the project changed to a Hip Hop IDOL group, under the KPOP umbrella. Main dancer and dance leader are two different things. J-Hope and Jimin are both main dancers, which means they are both given the main dance parts in their choreography, and J-Hope being the dance leader, is in charge of making sure the team knows the choreography and they go to him for help, if they need it. Also, he is in charge of their stage formations, and they look to him for guidance. He is highly respected by his team for his role. You are right, BTS are like a family of Brothers. When people say they are breaking up or on Hiatus, that just isn't a thing with them. They want to be together as BTS and they are only apart when it's necessary to be, like for their Military service, or for their solo projects. Those are things they need to do for their own growth, and to meet their obligations to their country. Not because they are breaking up. BTS has said to ARMY's over and over, to trust them and they are going to be BTS for a very long time. Sorry, I just had to rant a little bit. Jin will be the first to enlist on December 13th, and they are all working on their solo projects right now. J-Hope and Jin already did their solo debuts, RM is next on December 2nd, his album is called INDIGO. You might want to check that out.
  • Thank you so much for watching the video and listening to Army. Make sure you pause the video when you're talking so we can hear what you have to say. 💜

I always enjoy watching any introduction videos about BTS even though I watched it a million times. 😂 I love hearing other people’s perspectives. 💜
  • Initially BTS was supposed to be strictly a hip hop group with rappers with no dancing. I don't think they had a set number in mind for a group at the beginning. RM joined Bighit in 2010 and over time things changed and it was decided BTS would dance so many of the trainees at Bighit left because they didn't want to dance and eventually 7 members were chosen amongst the trainees. Actually aside from Jimin and J-Hope none of the other members had dancing experience. But when you practice something 12-16 hours a day you improve a lot. Jimin was the last member to join Bighit in 2012 and then BTS officially debuted in 2013 so it was a 3 year journey for BTS to come together. Every kpop company has trainees usually around 30 people and the training period can be as short as 1 year or as long as 10 in extreme cases (on average I would say it's 2-5 years). During their training period they will take lessons like dance, rap, singing, acting etc. and they will also all live together. Becoming a trainee doesn't guarantee you will make it into a group to debut and it's very competitive because you can be told to leave at any time. Trainees are found in various ways like going to schools to scout young talent, auditions, or just recruiting people off the street like Jin was.
  • Everytime I watch any guide to BTS I get teary. They really did come far 🥹
  • Hey! We got to see Everest! I love when your kitties make their cameos. Thanks for doing this reaction. These seven guys are incredible as artists and people. Not only are they ridiculously talented, they're also gigantic goofballs. Because they've been so transparent and have provided so much content, I really feel like I know them as people more than I would any other celebrity. That's a large part of why ARMY loves them so much.
  • @SilverFang95
It's not only finding the members, but the training period before debut as well. The training period is unique to kpop (from my understanding only unique to kpop, idk if any other country has something similar) the series "rise of bangtan" explains it a bit further. If you do end up doing that series I urge you to react to the bonus and extra scenes that go along with each episode in the series💜
  • @gudly8
V was the fastest to achieve 1M and 10M(in less than 5 hrs) followers in Instagram when they all joined together.. having the Guinness World Records for the same to his name. 💜
  • Thank you for the reaction. As others have said, I’ve watched this many times and it never gets old for me. I don’t listen to most K-pop simply because most are good performers but no one matches the deep lyricism of BTS. They are huge yet humble and they genuinely love music and each other. Have fun exploring their music. They are much better live than their studio version, imho, so checking out live performances would be fun.
  • @sheball_
You're probably one of the few genuine reactioners out there. You're not going out of the way- screaming and crying(although nothing wrong with any of those). There's amusements where it should be and your commentary is just as amazing. I'll be subscribing!
  • @ba-ah8073
Thanks for checking this out! They are such talented men and this is just a small portion of it. I hope you are enjoying your journey as much as we are enjoying watching yours! Can’t wait to see more.
  • 45yo ARMY right here. I owe my well-being and journey of rediscovery and self love to these 7 most amazing humans. Thank you for such a wonderful reaction 💜💜💜💜
  • You are right when you stated that BTS is a movement. They have and will bring positive social changes to the world.
  • your reaction is so good makes me happy When you say what comes to mind while watching a video. Thank you.
