Hello there fellow phone users,

I went one week without a phone whilst traveling in Portugal. I've wanted to break my phone addiction for a while, and felt this trip to Lisbon was the perfect opportunity to quit technology for a week.

I expected good results, but being phoneless turned out to be even better than I could've imagined. I felt like a child again, found pleasure in things as simple as breathing and watching birds.

It also made me more productive and I found entertainment and escapism in my art, my sketchbook, instead of through endless social media scrolling.

Let me know if you're interested to stop using your phone or minimise the time you spent on your smartphone! I 100% recommend doing it :)

I sometimes forget to check my phone, I have it for contacting my friends who sadly have moved away, so it’s a way for me to stay in touch and be somewhat social😅 I also use it for entertainment and to read news and I use it to show my artwork to whoever comes across it😌✨ I do want to be better at taking more time off my phone to work though😅
  • I absolutely love this!! I remember when I deleted social media on my phone for exams, and I remember my attention span being so bad in the beginning 😭😭😭 I think this should def become a trend!!!!
  • Honestly taking a break from using your phone is such a interesting idea. I don't think I could manage to go that long without checking my phone tho, since I have a friend in another country.
  • I don’t think I’ve ever gone even a day without my phone since I was 11. I feel like I always make excuses for why I can’t do what you are doing in this video. However this has motivated me to just leave my phone at home and go out!

It was a incredible experience for you and I could spend time participating to that. Phones drive us so crazy 😅My God!! But sometimes this kind of refreshing experience makes us much better about freedom, and investing time on our goals. It means using phones as a way more assertive connected with that👏🙏😍😜

Honestly I never even digged the whole phone ecosystem I mostly use my phone to talk with friends that are too far away to hang out with face to face. All of the apps are designed to keep you hooked and they are pretty damn good at doing so. Whenever I come up with stories I usually set them before the 2010's or in a fictional setting because of how much phones have affected people's day to day life. They should be seen more like ✂️ s :D

this is so fun! It is definitely something i want to be able to do someday, but for now, my phone is a much too central tool in my everyday life. sadly. still very inspiring, it puts things in perspective. i do miss seeing the world more like a child, like connecting to reality the way i know a child does.

when i used to be punished by my mother she would take my phone and hide it for 1/2 weeks, honestly without the phone i was more energetic and i changed a lot i also notice that phones controls the brain a lot

I once tried to go without my phone for three days, I couldn't even last 5 hours without it. 😂

I use my phone on a daily basis 😵‍💫, I remember when my phone first got shattered and had to live without one for 3 months and they were the best days when I got used to no phone, but then I got pulled in the same habit 😃
  • I do tend to overuse my phone...tho I excuse myself because I also use it for work 😅 but I would love to detox from it for at least a couple of days, I feel like life happens in front of our eyes but we're too busy with our gazes on the screen... Nice experiment!! 🎉
