South Rim to North Rim | What to see & do driving from South Rim of Grand Canyon to the North Rim

Published 2024-03-12
Today, we're doubling our canyon dose with a road trip from the South Rim to the North Rim. It's more than just a drive; it's an adventure!

Now, let's clear somethin' up right off the bat - the Grand Canyon might look like it's just a hop, skip, and a jump from one rim to the other, but for us bipeds, it's a different story. A hefty 22-mile trek awaits, with some serious elevation changes and temperatures hotter than a branding iron. So unless you're ready to channel your inner Lewis and Clark, stick to the roads.

Speaking of roads, we'll be hittin' the highway for a robust 200-mile jaunt, with sights as pretty as a prairie sunrise. But before we hit the trail, let me introduce my trusty steed, Jackpot - a 2001 Jeep Wrangler. With Jackpot at the helm, we're ready for any adventure!

First stop, Grand View Point! This spot used to be a real hotspot back in the day, but now it's a prime location for sunrise photos and takin' in the views.

Next up, the Desert View Watchtower - a Grand Canyon gem with more history than a saloon in Tombstone. From the Eagle’s Nest to the murals, there's somethin' to see on every floor.

As we journey north, we'll pass by the Little Colorado River Gorge, where you can dip your toes in the cool waters and marvel at the views.

And don't forget Navajo Bridge, where you can catch a glimpse of California Condors doin' their thing. These birds are like the rockstars of the canyon!

Finally, we'll make our way to the Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim, where you can soak in the views and enjoy some of the finest hospitality around.

This channel's all 'bout the Grand Canyon, offerin' y'all tips once you're in the Canyon with must-see stops, watering holes, and places to rest along the way.

Me and my trusty steed, Jackpot, were explorin' the Canyon back in the 1800s, fell into a time-warp, and somehow ended up in the 21st century!

To top it off, Jackpot's spirit somehow got trapped in a contraption they call a "Jeep."

Weird, but true...

Cutting to the chase - to make a buck, I started guiding folks through GC. One day it was suggested, "You should start a YouTube Channel!"

So, here we are!

We got videos that essentially act as trail maps from Las Vegas, Phoenix, Flagstaff, and more!🏜️
