Trick Williams is a TRIUMPH But Not Without Criticism (WWE NXT Spring Breakin' 4.23.24)

I love Trick. He’s busted his ass to get over and I think that if you were going to pull the trigger on him then this is the height of his run. WWE/NXT often miss on guys because they kick the can down the road or wait for a bigger moment (Drew v Roman, Sammi Elimination Chamber, a year of Velveteen).

Trick Williams has a great future more upside than even Hayes IMO. WWE has always and will always be known for their production and theatrics; wrestling is secondary and sometimes third but never first. That's why Cameron Grimes was released.

Shawn Michaels wasn't even supposed to stay at NXT for that long but like Dusty, William Regal and other vets behind the scenes, he fell in love with the entire idea of being at ground zero for the development of new talent.

Now I know how Cody fans feel after Mania. I’m glad Trick was able to finish his story.

WWE has so much female talent right they might have to launch an all female brand to get them all on TV.

Trick is that fucking dude. You can’t teach the charisma he brings to the table. You can teach in ring work anytime which makes it less valuable.

Good for him. Like you said, Trick might never be Bryan Danielson or Flair in the ring but neither was Hulk Hogan, Nash, Rock, post-Owen injury SCSA, Cena, etc, etc.

Trick is definitely Raw still, but he's damn good, for a guy that's still learning the Game. He's over with that NXT Crowd, and was over with that SmackDown Crowd, when he made that appearance. He's the kind of guy that you just want to pull for. My favorite Wrestler right now. The more hate that Maxine gets, the more I'm a fan. If my All Time Favorite Wrestler believes in him, then I believe in him. Keep whoopin these Tricks. She probably hasn't even been wrestling a year yet, and she's actually starting to get over. I think the shots that Chad took at her will help her get over even more.

So impressive that Trick cut a helluva promo live before walking to the ring. Hopefully Trick can level up and carry NXT like we're hoping he will. Spring Breakin' definitely delivered. I Love NXT.

Warren Hayes has no room to talk in that article, when his boss at Voices of Wrestling, Joe Lanza goes on his podcast and says he will not take anyone seriously as a wrestling fan and questions the intelligence of anyone that enjoys NXT. I like a lot of things about VOW and I used to be on their Patreon because their historical pieces are world class. But they are extremely tribal and contribute to the overall shitty landscape of the wrestling fandom as much or worse than anyone!
