I’m just loving how she nails that 90s aesthetic. Seriously. If this came out in 1999, every alternative rock radio station would be playing this. It totally fits in with songs of that era too. Do a search for “alternative rock 1999” and shuffle. If you don’t get any nu-metal bullshit or electronica, you’ll probably find yourself listening to an alternative rock song. And it fits in. Props to her.

Usually I hate the whole bring back the 90s stuff, because people chuck on colourful clothes and put a VHS filter on and go “the 90s were so cool man”, but this is a genuinely good throwback without trying too hard

Man i just think sometimes.. WHERE was Bea when I was growing up in the early 2000's-2010's. Being asian, filipino and into alt/rock, it's a different seeing someone up there who's living your teenage fantasies having them look like you! She makes me feel like i'm 14 again banging my head to All American Rejects and Smashing Pumpkins and sending out flyers for people to join my band HAHAHA

It's funny how much back and forth between 90s and 2000s influences are being cited here, since the chorus instantly brings "Miserable" by Lit to mind, a 1999 song. Either way, I've been binging and this is all good stuff!

As a Japanese 90s kid, I appreciate this type of energy. Reminds me of my childhood days. Kinda reminds me a lot of artists like Tommy Heavenly6 and The Brilliant Green (both Japanese artists).

As probably one of the few 30 year olds in the comments... I can tell you this sounds pretty authentically 90's... Which I think was pretty clever as the lyrics are also pretty representative of that time (& obviously relevant to so many of us now too... But the 90's was really the start of angsty lyrics for those of us screaming to be heard) Great song hun... Well done 🌹🌈🔆
