The "that lot" that Henry refers to at 0:16 is us! We were riding a Seven Seater Circular Conference Bike (CoBi for short) from John O'Groats to Lands End for Cyclists Fighting Cancer and to break a Guinness World Record. Like the Morgan, the Conference Bike is another awesome machine with a reverse trike formation. Not a rational way to get from one end of the country to the other, but it is a fun one. The four wheels (Two together at the back) are basically space savers, the front brakes are from a VW Polo, the back brakes are motorcycle discs. The secret sauce is universal joints that run round the bottom of the frame and transmit the pedalling to the main drive train at the back. The person at the back steers, everyone else just holds on and pedals. The top speed is sliiiiightly slower than the Morgan, about 7mph on the flat though it can get up around 40mph on downhills. Our next plan for it is to try and set a speed record!

Henry is such an engaging writer. Thatā€™s where the value of these videos is, mostly, for me.

I love it. In a world where fun seems to be increasingly harder to find this little Morgan must surely deliver a lot of that if you were to find yourself behind the wheel of one. Useable power, questionable chassis dynamics and bomber style looks, imagine this on a good mountain pass, you'd have the time of your life.

Great review really impressed by the audio. Hats off to the tech who achieved this. A lesson for others who would have blown it out by the wind.

Morgan's designers did a great job of dragging their 3-wheeler into the 21st century, whilst retaining at least a fair chunk of retro aesthetic. Their choice of colours and luggage set-up for the promo-vehicles were inspired too. Especially the salmon pink one!.

Anyone else wish this one was longer? Great video and so happy Henry was the first person Iā€™ve seen do a proper in-car driving review on the Super3

I think I prefer the look of the old one with the engine outside the car. It made a quirky car even quirkier.

Absolutely love this modern steampunk aesthetic, great sound too. So happy this exists
  • Great that Morgan still comes up with these projects, and comforting to know that they're already planning an electric version. It hopefully points to a bright future for both Morgan and the prospect of a characterful enthusiast electric car market.

Not a commuter, clearly - but for cobweb blowing of a weekend? Gloriously ridiculous fun. I get the feeling that from the designers putting pen to paper, to the engineers and technicians at the factory putting them together on to the lucky custoners: everyone's got a smile on their face.

Loved the torque counter. It's that sort of thing that really sets the channel apart and shows you guys don't take yourselves too seriously. I LOVE the car too - i'd have one in a heartbeat.

Filmed just down the road from where I live. So weird seeing my back roads on here
  • Thank you for this. I both love and hate these things, with equal enthusiasm!

Saw and had a good look at one of thes three prototypes built at the Sir Jackie Stewart Classic last weekend in the Borders.. absolutely beautiful and the star of the show for my father and I.

What a little gem of an interview. Every aspect of it is perfectly creative and perfectly executed. Fantastic job once again, Carfection.

Thanks Henry, that brought back memories of your year running a Caterham Seven as your daily driver. Time to crack out the sailing jacket!
  • Such a brilliant brilliant car. And Harry is unquestionably one of the best, more entertaining, truly passionate and nice motoring journalist out there, he gives you the feeling to be there, sitting beside him, hats off.
