After local officials asked them to close for Navratri, a nine-day Hindu festival, several meat businesses in India's capital, Delhi, have been closed for two days. According to mayors from the south and east districts, the majority of people did not eat non-vegetarian cuisine during the event, and many people objected to meat being cut in the open.
