The best starter builds for PoE 3.25: Settlers of Kalguur are still shrouded in mystery. As I was forming my poe 3.25 league starter list and working on the one build guide I'll put out, I noticed a BARRAGE of lovely comments on my latest video in which I discussed the melee league starters I thought looked best.

After seeing this happen last league too and happen to other creators for years...I thought I would talk about the DRAMA, the POE LEAGUE STARTER DRAMA, and think about why poe players get so mad...

The video I reference:    • PoE 3.25 League Starters - MELEE Buil...

As always, a massive thanks to all my supporters on YouTube, Twitch, and Patreon. You make this possible, exiles.

Leave me any questions you have below, I'll be reading them all!

Brave of you to think that poe players can read.
  • I've been playing PoE off and on for like 4 years and I have no idea in hell what the hell I'm doing in game lol
  • @SloRush
As someone that only plays POE for a few weeks per league, it's pretty hard to tell what's a bait build and what isn't (especially with trolls pretending those builds are not bait). It's extremely toxic and frustrating. You should make a video on how to spot if a build is bait / not good but that's probably easier said than done.
  • the poe community never changes...no wonder chris never posted on the reddit after lake of kalandra :/

I agree, it's a game. We help each other get better at the game and it's supposed to be about fun. 😁... And delving... Because delve is dope 😉
  • The internet is a wild place full of ignorant idiots. Keep doing you my man & just ignore these jabronis.
  • Yeah, I don't read comments nowadays, just a few top ones. Thank god I'm not a youtube creator, don't know how you guys are getting through all this dumb hate.

I like to help players on the subreddits, particularly newer players. I'm not a top 1% or probably even top 25% player, but I have played forever and just genuinely enjoy helping because this game is just so complex especially when you're new. And I usually get burned out after a month because some people just have to tell me how awful my advice is. I might suggest a brand new player who has almost no idea what they're doing, use the chaos recipe to get a little starter currency a month into a league. Then I get 6 comments telling me I'm a complete idiot and the new player should be doing mega juiced Back to Basics T17s because that's the best way to make currency. Some players are just weird.

Unfortunately, some people in the gaming community are just toxic in general. I find it completely ridiculous that people get so serious and toxic over games.... But regardless, don't let those people get to you, think of it this way: If people are being toxic towards you over a game, it is because they themselves are unhappy with their lives, and want to bring others down with them. So pity them, ban them, and move on :)

Dunning-Kruger-Effect on the Internet is wild. My most favourite Counterargument is "I don't believe it" on factual Data.
  • Glad to see this addressed. I'm a relatively new player (started in 3.24!), but I've already seen a lot of this. The most common one I've seen is when the video title says x div/hr, and the video explains "i made this much, but i got this lucky drop - so you probably won't" or "but my run times are very short, so if you don't have a fast char you won't make as much". Even though the content creator is going out of the way to explain how they made x divs, and why you probably won't without end game gear and a decent amount of skill, people go "but I can't do it so you're a scammer/clickbaiter". I had someone in game tell me that about a 30 div strongbox strat in 3.24 (don't remember the creator). Well, I put in the work. Made currency first through crafting and essences, bought a mageblood and more endgame gear, grabbed the auto-open chest caster skill, and got my run time down to 3 minutes. And guess what? I was able to make 30 div/hr at times with strongboxes after that. Who would've guessed?

SUNDER POISON WARDEN FULL BLOCK HERE I COME
  • Yeah, My story here as a new content creator in poe. I just created this channel, it's barely been 10 days, but the little I've done I've seen this type of player, they comment on huge essays even without seeing the video or description, they come to the comments, don't watch the whole video, they'll talk as if they were absolutely right and apparently have the power to accurately predict the future. There's also another type of player, the one who comes to the comments and says something like "bro, you have an MB so this farming is impossible for me to do, click bait buh, dislike", even if it's a farming that any build can do.... It's either the guy who thinks he's right about everything or the guy who finds excuses for his own failure in everything.
  • BroTri! ill play what I like! Dual Strike!! a.k.a. BoyPalo! ( HitBoy in English ) name of my old character LOL Edit: you did the right thing on removing bad energies that lingers in the comment section and I appreciate your positive outlook in life! Keep it up! Salute!

I wouldn't give the haters any air time. Jorgen, Palsteron, and a few others have gotten so much hate for releasing build guide suggestions and thoughts. I've sent them lots of love and thanks ☮️❤️👍

Don't worry. Stay positive. Enjoy the game and just do your thing. You will get better and so will the community. Have a good day everyone.

I believe that every single well written build guide is made out of passion first, and the money comes after. I cant imagine people would actually get all this knowledge, and put all the time into the game without that flame of passion inside them.
