I still laugh when Arthur suggested Clark and him started a superhero group the "Junior Lifegaurd Association" and Clark replied "I don't think the world is quite ready for the JLA just yet."
  • One thing I loved about Smallville is how natural and organic, the DC universe grew and expanded as the audience grew up alongside Clark during his journey. As Clark matured and began to learn more about his Kryptonian heritage as well as becoming more like Superman, so did the world around him. It also show how influential and big of a role Clark/Superman plays in the superhero community without saying blanket statements. Bart Allen, the first non Kryptonite infected metahuman he met who also abused his power when he was just trying to live a normal life and was seeking to create the Fortress of Solitude, Green Arrow/Justice League (the first costumed heroes Clark ever met) and Martian Manhunter (first alien/Non-Kryptonian hero) during his quests to stop the Phantom Zone escapees and Lex was creating 33.1 to show how Clark should be a more proactive hero and the path he could take. The JSA coming when Clark Kent was focused on being the Blur and becoming more of a Justice League member and giving them a lesson of the past while the Legion shows hints of his potential future but also to live in the present. Booster Gold to help show an example of what being a public hero could be and embracing the flashy side of being a superhero. While Clark showing them the heart of a hero and being the hero that the public embraces and everyone follows into the light. The Wonder Twins, shows how important and influential Clark can be on the younger generation of heroes. Then when he becomes Superman, that’s when he meets Batman, Wonder Woman, GL, the Justice League is officially formed and everything comes full circle. This show displays why Superman is such an important cornerstone of the DC universe.

Lee Thompson Young was amazing as Cyborg and a good guy from what I heard. I still miss him and he left a great legacy. Smallville is my favorite show ever and he made me very proud to be a Smallville fan as did all the guest stars like Kyle Gallner.

While a lot of Smallville doesn't hold up to todays standards, it was ahead of it time. Imagine if this show was made with today's technology and effects (but by people who aren't rushed and overworked) Definitely one of the better live action superhero shows. Even in todays oversaturated market.
  • The Flash Aquaman Cyborg Green Arrow Martian Manhunter Supergirl Black Canary The Legion 3 Zatana Hawkman Dr Fate After season 5 this show broke its biggest rule No Tights No Fights but the problem is they were running out of ideas and trying to condense the Clark Kent Story so they had to introduce new DC heroes and villains to explore the further adventures of Clark Kent and journey of becoming Superman. Due to copyright laws and other legal aspects some names and characters were changed or not used at all this included Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

What I liked about the Smallville episode with Impulse... When Clark tracks him down... And he reads all the ID's Bart has... The names are as follows... Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West... 😏😁😁

Sucks that he never got to meet Batman and Wonder Woman on the show but least he finally got to meet them in the Season 11 comic continuation

I remember replaying 5:45 over and over when that ep came out. And don't even get me started on the end of "Run". These kids today just don't get how epic everyone of these moments were at the time. In the preMCU days this was all we had lol.
  • @AbeEdits0
Bart Allen is introduced into Smallville the same way Barry Allen is in Justice League. Clark scans Victor just as he dose in Justice League.
  • @reanareanes
