I dig the brief vlogs. And frankly, I like to see you in a more relaxed environment. That studio balcony shoot was nerve-wracking. I enjoy your work and your perspective, and you're entitled to have some fun now and then.
  • @bmwohl
Thanks Seth. Becky and Kon sent me looking for this video. I enjoyed it.
  • @Azeemmerchant
Wow... Awesome shots... Beautiful colors ❤️👍
  • @dah7772
I like the format of your last several videos. I like the fact that they not always the same thing. Looking forward to any upcoming videos you release.
  • @gregcorker2193
Informative product impression video. It really seems to be a brilliant addition to their lens line.

I´ve been watching some YT videos this last 2 days while I wait for my Z9 to arrive next week. And first I want to leave clear that I use SOny, Canon RF, and Nikon Z. There´s a difference when you see Z files, impressive detail you can get from any lens on any Z camera. Also, the overall photographer ability shooting at the right moment and sensibility at editing is very important so thank you so much Seth, Fernando, and Adorama for not showing noisy soft images. Over burned with external software to eliminate noise and spending of your time because some brands does not invest in sensors. Love this vlog fomat eitherway, Salute from Uruguay!

I like the vlog format, Seth. Crisp, informative and fun. Good to see Fernando's still around. :)

That great shot was a great shot! Crazy hack to even shoot closer than eight feet add an extension tube for those close-up shots using a zoom lens. But it limits how far away you can shoot and still get focus. Eight feet is pretty darn close. Thanks, Adorama & Seth

Thanks Seth ... Another great video! I love the vlog format. Great combination of tech and entertainment in just the right amount of time. When it comes to product reviews, this format really helps me since I'm seeing it in the real world, used by a pro who understands we're not all pros. Thanks for addressing the lens speed issue and commenting on the cost/performance comparison. I'm looking forward to more like this.

Some great images there Seth. Love the eagle and how sharp it was 👌
  • I have shot with the Z 100-400mm for about 6 months now and I have been very happy with it. I have been transitioning to Z glass and the only F mount lens I had left was the excellent AF-S 500mm PF. I have had the Z 800 PF on order since it was first introduced and sold my AF-S 600mm f/4D lens in anticipation of receiving it. In the mean time, a Z 400mm f/4.5 came into my camera shop and I jumped on it. This lens has far exceeded my expectations, it is incredibly light, works extremely well with both the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters, and although it is only 2/3 of a stop faster aperture wise than the 100-400mm, it does make a noticeable difference in lower light situations, and creates a more pleasing bokeh. I also find it is slightly faster in acquiring focus, especially with the 2x tele attached, but that both are quite good. I find they really have different purposes, and are quite complementary, so for now, I have decided to keep both of them. If I am out shooting wildlife or sports, I tend to favour the Z 400mm prime, but as a allrounder, I love the versatility of the Z 100-400mm zoom. PS, After shooting the Z 400mm, the AF-S 500mm PF seemed heavy and a bit ungainly, crazy, as I remember first shooting with it and being amazed at how small and light it was, lol!

Your shots are awesome!!! It's fun taking photos of animals isn't it? I love it so, especially pets. Great review on the lens. Thank you!!!
  • @brad_in_yyc
That was a good vlog style. I liked it. Those shots of the Bald eagle and condor were money!
  • @250GTOAJ
Like the 500mm PF this new lens seems to be very good too and great photos. The vlogs are a good idea thanks Seth and Fernando 😎👍🇨🇦
  • @csc-photo
Great images! Lens looks absolutely fantastic, I love that Nikon offers this option alongside the pro level 400 2.8 TC 👏🏻
  • @waveland
A funny thing about the 4.5, it doesn’t “feel” like it should cost $3200, because it’s so light. But the photos tell the real story. It’s worth the expense, and I agree with you Seth, the compact size and with a weight slightly less than the Z 70-200, it’s a lens I would keep in my bag.
