  • I’m 70 years old and this sure brought back memories of the mid seventies when I actually drove a Wrecker identical to that except it was green and a just a little shorter because the gap between the cab and bed wasn’t as wide and ours had a extra 40,000 # bed winch, thanks for the memories. God Bless and stay safe out there!

Im 71 and I just love seeing these old Trucks etc brought back to life. They were made like Battle ships.Never ment to die.
  • That’s crazy that’s old man Gillespie’s tow truck. I remember seeing that old truck cruising up and down highway 60 over 20 years ago. It was a single axle tractor before they put the tow truck body on and it ran really good 👍
  • I was there maybe 3 years ago to visit some family and we stopped at this place and I've always wanted to see if those trucks would run. Thank you for the content and glad to see the truck run. Thanks again

My uncle Harry was friends with the Gillespies . I remember when I was a kid going to Florida for couple weeks and staying with him and going to that shop. This video brought back a lot of memories.

I began trucking in January 1976 on Straight Trucks and in January 1977 on Tractor Trailer. It was good to hear that old White Fire up. Thanks..
  • I'm soooo glad that you got a chance to see both of those trucks. I've been passing those trucks for 15 plus years wondering what the history was on the two of them.
  • As my family’s business revolves around tow trucks this hits me hard
  • @sean26mac
Restoration series of the tow truck would be amazing
  • It's my prayer that you would be safe in your adventures whilst bringing old trucks back to life and refreshing some viewers' memories! Thanks so much for making my day as always!

Love the will it starts, very cool old garage that guy has, love seeing the old places along the back roads.
  • Neat old truck and service station. I agree that we need to keep businesses like that going. Those places are usually good to deal with and can get you out of a pinch. Thanks for the videos. Look forward to the old dodge start.
  • I know you are stepping back from YouTube a bit, but man, it's fun to watch your videos on the "Will It Start?" series. Plant City has a special place in my heart. I had a great uncle who pastored FBC there a long time ago. I've always wanted to go explore there. In any case, keep 'em coming, Bruce - when you can.

Cool video! I love big old wreckers. Back in the early 90's I drove a 1975 White fuel truck with a 3208 Cat, positive ground. Every morning in the winter that truck was hard starting. The heater in the cab might as well been non-existent, however, I did get some heat through the firewall. The two speed rear was air operated the two speed motor would freeze and I had to drive it in low range for about ten miles until the rear warmed up, then it would shift. It had power steering, a hydraulic cylinder that ran the length of the front axle and, I believe, connected to the pitman arm, so basically the steering was all me lol.
  • Man how come your so good at getting old semi trucks and trains to start after years man you got a awesome gift
