In this video I demo the VOX AC10 Combo Amp. Wasn't sure I liked it until I put pedals in front of it, then it came to life for me. Tone machine with pedals!

Special thanks to KSM Music for letting me demo this. ksmmusic.com/

  • Just bought an AC15 last week and I’ve fallen in love with it immediately, like the first time I picked up a Tele! I have all the tones I want just plugged straight into the amp. It is pure rock and roll.
  • @rconcha3
I agree 100%. I have one and could never get the crunch/dirty tone from it that I heard in my head. One day plugged a Klon clone into it and it blew me away. Perfect little home studio amp.
  • @danbsilen
I spent some time with one of these at Guitar Center last week, great amp. It really made me start to consider getting a tube amp again.
  • @FuriousMess
I purchased one shortly after it came out with a 10" Greenback from Sweetwater. Love this little amp, subperb on it's own and fantastic oaired with anything. Sounds even better into a 12" Marshall cab. Really can't go wrong on the Vox AC10 it's a keeper
  • @Chasetenny
This amp own! Best amp I ever had at it's size and weight class. I pair mine with a JHS Angry Charlie a boss Waza Chorus, and a Boss RE202 Space Echo, the tones are just amazing! Very underated amp, and takes pedals so well despite no FX loop

Coming from a subscriber, I'm not sure why you don't have more subscribers. I enjoy all your videos. Your playing is great, I enjoy the content and the sound quality is very good. Keep going!

The key to these amps are the speakers and tube swap. Out of the box they’re not bad but once you dime the volume they seem to loose tone. The special edition with the upgraded speaker and swapping the tubes will bring this amp alive. Whoever says this amp can’t handle peddles doesn’t know what they’re talking about. The only con I can say about this amp it doesn’t have much head room compared to the Princeton 65. Pro tip: The Earthquaker Bows pedal (range finder treble booster circuitry) is an absolute beast with this amp. Sometimes I’m to lazy to plug my pedal board in and I only use that one pedal because it takes a 9v and I can play it for hours without getting bored.
  • @bassax7045
bought this amp in 2017, upgraded the Valves so the whole amp sound improves and the reverb sounds way better too , every now and then i plug into a 12"thomann speaker 16 ohm through Jet city attenuator ,and it sounds as good as any big amp fun to create sounds without pedals too just by using the amp and guitar.
  • Good reviews! I have this amp for few months now and i love it! I use it clean and drive it with a sd-1 and a Friedman dirty shirley and the sound is amazing!!!
  • I would definitely buy one of these. Tremolo would. Be nice. Great playing Rich. Rock on!
  • Really cool demo, I love a good Tele, the Vox Amp definitely delivers

Everyone that says they don’t like the 10” VX10 speaker. I compared it in my Vox AC4C1 with an original Celestion Creamback from ‘74 in the speaker out Jack. The VX10 was louder and beefier sounding. If you absolutely need to bring back some highs into the tone, use a compression pedal.
  • @stan2211stan
The AC-10 is "The One." Without a doubt Ms Grab&Go.
  • @andrewomara5293
Grateful for your video. I walked into a local guitar shop recently and asked to play an AC-10. When I explained that I wanted the tone and also to use it as a pedal platform, the guy decried it as useless for pedals as it would break up too quickly; that I'd need a Blues Junior - £200 more expensive and too clean for my taste.
  • @joshmcclure5150
Perfect!! This is exactly what I’m looking for! Time to call my Sweetwater rep.
  • I had one for a great plug n play when I spent a year playing around Utah great amp juicy tube tone and great digital verb plus it was easy to lug around up and down stairs
  • you did that thing on the 335 which is where I know you from. I wish you luck on youtube from New Zealand. BTW waiting for my 335 to arrive and pick up a spare Vox tomorrow even though my Marshall main one. The Vox is a spare or jamming.
