While NYC is known for its steakhouse culture, London is also a great steak city. New York's rival city across the pond is similar to NYC in many ways, and one way it is similar is London also has a great appreciation for dry-aged beef! The most famous and best steakhouse in London, many say, is Hawksmoor. Hawksmoor in London has since far expanded its original location, with locations all over the UK now. It has found its way to NYC as well, and despite NYC being such a powerhouse for great steaks, many people say Hawksmoor is as good as the best steakhouses in NYC!

We have actually reviewed Hawksmoor before on this channel, First time, we ordered the Hawkmoor rump steak, which was well-priced but it was not impressive. It lacked even sear and was under-seasoned. The famous Hawksmoor sticky toffee pudding was also quite disappointing. However, many of you have since commented and told me that I did not order the right items, and Hawksmoor is actually excellent if you order the right stuff, so this time around we ordered the porterhouse and they even threw in some fries as well!

Is London's best steakhouse really all it's cracked up to be? Or is it overrated hype mostly due to over-glorification of London? We'll find out together!

Btw I think the fries were not gifted but rather a mistake, as they gave me the wrong receipt initially at the end. Hooray free fries!
  • asks to have steak cut for him, complains about how the steak is cut 😂 this dude is pure comedy

another great video! I swear for some reason, your videos are addicting! I think because youre a simple humble guy who just reviews not just famous eateries but luxurious dining and expensive steakhouses all for us to one day visit while we try to see if its the worth the budget. No show and fancy editing, but just being yourself who has a passion on visiting restaurants all over the world.

I love when waiters say somthing is their favorite. Literally eveything is their favorite on the menu. Even the water.

I'm a New Yorker and haven't tried Hawksmoor in the city yet, but their London Spitafields restaurant was fantastic. Definitely a cut above most NYC steakhouses and far less expensive. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your review of Hawksmoor in London.

  • Great review and safe travels to the UK! Would you ever consider going on a cruise and you could do multiple food reviews there? I think it would be right up your alley

Absolutely correct about anchovies and Caesar salad. Regrettably, most Caesar salads have become a mix of mayo, vinegar and Parmesan.

Will you eat jellied eels for us when you hit London?

In London, please please please eat at St. John. One of the best meals I have ever had in my life and a pilgrimage for foodies.

We loved Hawksmoor! There are a bunch of comments on our video from people who are surprised we disagreed with you, so we're looking forward to seeing if things were any different this time around!
