You with the sad eyes, don't be discouraged Oh I realize, it's hard to take courage In a world full of people, you can lose sight of it And the darkness inside you makes you feel so small But I see your true colours shining through I see your true colours, that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show, your true colours True colours are beautiful Like a rainbow Like a rainbow Show me a smile then, don't be unhappy Can't remember when I last saw you laughing If this world makes you crazy and you've taken all you can bear You call me up because you know I'll be there And I see your true colours shining through I see your true colours, that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show, your true colours True colours are beautiful Like a rainbow Yeah, I see your colours, though they appear to be different You should never be afraid because your difference is the difference We live in a time where to be yourself is hard And the way you really feel can leave you emotionally scarred But stay strong, stand firm and never back down Being yourself is the only way to act, man (like a rainbow) Trust me, I'm a fighter and a lover But the only time I fight is to reveal my true colours, you know And I see your true colours shining through I see your true colours, that's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show, your true colours True colours are beautiful (yeah) Like a rainbow (I see your true colours shining through) Like a rainbow (There is no difference between me and you) True colours, yeah (Love the way you are) True colours, yeah (I see your true colours) You with the sad eyes

Music comes in many different forms... For the people saying the rap verse by Kardinal Offishall ruined this song -> the words he raps mean something unlike most rap songs today, thumbs up for him donating his time to a cause that has an affect on almost everyone in this world.

“We are what we are because we have been what we have been." Sigmund Freud. Remember that : once you hurt someone, they will never forget! I've been always treated differently, I don't think I could say I was bullied cause I think it would offend people who were seriously bullied, but people used to say that since I was fat and I had this personality no one would love me, and I would never have friends. It still hurt, I still hate myself, but I'm not gonna let them win, I'm amazing even if I don't realize that, and it's the same for all of you! You are amazing.

This will always be the best version of this song. 8 years later still a masterpiece, shoutout to those legends who are here listening in 2021!

This song has a great message, and I'm sure a lot of people feel very strongly about the message of this song, whether they have been bullied or not. What we all need to remember is that we have all been a bully at least once in our lives, whether for a few seconds or even more. Everybody should think about their actions, your actions may not seem hurtful to you, but they could really hurt someone else. We should try to stop bullying, but remember to practise what you preach.

I would always listen to this song and I just loved it, I never really noticed how empowering it really is until I saw the video. Not gonna lie, I cried while watching this. Bullying, sure it happens, but no one reaches out. Sure, online or around people, people say that they'll stand up for you if you're getting bullied, but when you need them most, they do nothing. It isn't fair for victims of bullying to be given a promise of a rescue, when no one's coming. I myself do get depressed, a lot, and it hurts, especially, because the one's I thought would never hurt me, did. The one's who said that they would always be there for me, are never there. I'm not trying to sound selfish, I'm saying this for like everyone who gets bullied. It's not fair for you to make a promise you're not going to keep. Promises are meant to be kept, lies aren't.

If you've felt so alone in the world and felt you didn't matter? Your life has a purpose and my arms are open to every single one of you. Show your true colors.

i've bullied for 7 year! i fighted every single day but when i was 13, i heard this song... i stoped fighting and showed my true colors. i cried so hard for 7 years that the whole world could hear it. and after those 7 years i found my true colors and i will show everyone my true colors. 3 years later and i still love this song <3 my life got beter without fighting. got a girlfriend, made a lot of friends en make a lot of people who also got bullied happy. THIS IS THE BEST SONG EVER!!!
  • @MsVampireAlice
this song helps everyone who is in depression. If that's you then think, don't let people bring you down live the life YOU want to live it. I live in depression most of my life feeling like the world hates me i'm standing in a small black room alone. while everyone else is on the outside is living life how they want to. Well no one can change who you are so take everyday as you want and make a memory of that day. Step out of that box and make a trail.where you started and keep moving forward. <3

Reach out! Don't be afraid. . . go to places where you resonate with people's values, cut your ties lovingly with those that don't. Not everyone is so wrapped up in their pain that they can't respond. Believe, because only what you believe can become real. You are needed, you are valued, you are treasured, you are loved. Believe THAT!
  • @leighjo70
In case you didn't know, you are important, you are loved and you matter. Be different, be weird and be who you are.

There are thousands of boys and girls that bursts the heart for what he did in school and out, and if a song like this can help others like them ... ... listen to it and let it run on all your Facebook profiles, Twitter or similar with the word "STOP BULLYING".From Italy with heart in hand, just a mom.

I love this song so much.... I've been bullied as well, just like everyone else. But, it was by the one person I loved. And, I almost died because of it. But since then, I've learned a lot. And I kicked him out of my life. And now I found someone I'm the happiest with :) and me and him are going to be happy together :D it always makes me feel so guilty when my parents scrape food into the garbage or when my friends poke holes in their water bottles and put water everywhere because that food and that clean water could save lives. Yet we take it for granted. It's sad how we think of ourselves instead of others. Some day I want to go out and give food to homeless people. Or give out roses to random people and tell them how beautiful they are, just to make them smile.

This song truly touches me. I grew up being bullied and tormented for 5 years. I was called fat, and starved myself for a year. I was on my deathbed and in the hospital. I was anorexic for 2 years. I had to fight the idea of being what society wants me to be, and what I should be. I came out as gay September. I'm happy with being me, and the biggest troubles I've ever faced happened in the past 6 years. Be yourself. Don't be afraid. Never be afraid.Let those colours shine- LET THEM SHINE BRIGHT!
