The oil shock mod on the FCX24 made a big difference on my rig. Crawls much better and does not bounce anymore. I just ordered a USA-1. It's cool that they use water decals, takes me back to my modeling days as a kid.

For waterslides, hold them with tweezers after you wet them and use q tips to slide them on to the surface. Micro sol and Tamiya have products that make it easier to manipulate waterslides when they're transferred to the surface. With these hard bodies it might even be worth it to put a topcoat on it.

FMS is really knocking out a lot of rigs this year. Solid review and pretty impressive moon walks.

Impressive little thing. I have to say, though... my favourite thing is probably the body-mounting system. Very neat and clever! It is time that serious 1/10 scale/trail trucks start ditching body pins.

Phil, I built Aurora model airplane kits in the 70s, when I was 12-ish. The decals would be soaked in lukewarm water for about 30 sec or longer. After being applied, they'd be given 24hrs before touching them. Make sure the plastic is clean and handle the rear of the decal as little as possible. They look great because they can follow the smallest contours, looking just like paint. Yours shouldn't have come off so easily unless you didn't give them long enough to dry, or else the thickness of the decal is probably even less, nowadays, making them even easier to tear.

Prob the most realistic handling rc monster trucks I’ve seen of any scale 👌🏼🙌🏼

Waterslides - Buy Micro Sol and Micro Set - one goes on before the decal, the other seals it afterwards. Alternatively, paint on a little gloss varnish before you do the slide (let it dry before applying slide), then after it's dry, paint on some matt varnish (or more gloss if you want a shine). Cheers as always Tomley!

The box reminds me of old Tamiya box art. That is so cool!
  • These are just too cool! I've been holding off on getting a mini, but this might be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Thats what ive been waiting for to get into 24th scale!! Portals, monster trucks,.loads of aftermarket parts... sold!! Great vid, as always!!
  • Wasn't sure about this one but seeing the wheel speed and options it's jumped onto my list 👍
  • @BlackSeaRC
I'm amazed it has taken someone so long to make a decent mini monster truck.

Gems is really making a statement in the small scale market. Their trucks are epic and a great price point.
  • @VS666
i wasn't keen on these initially, but these things are pretty damn cool. its pretty sick how many tricks and stuff you can do with them. i think as long as you play with them indoors and dont jump anything huge they should be pretty durable

Tomley, my apologies for not commenting more often. But I am put of this world excited for these little Max Smasher’s to be at my door! Thank you for sharing a discount code. I am hoping to get a set for my sons this coming year. We will see how they take to the one I ordered.
  • @QuinnsRC
Can't wait to get one of these. I have ramps waiting! I might have to just put a speed motor and open diffs in an FCX24 I already own. Thanks for the review!
  • @Luke-en2tk
Love the retro Tamiya esk box art, I think this will stand out well on a shop shelf
  • 2fmrc has already put the high speed motor in and it's amazing. You definitely need it and it's only $13
  • @FullTimeRCer
Spray clear coat once they are dry. I do this often to help protect RC body stickers. Not sure if it's the best practice but it works for me.
