There aren't many of the ultra classics left that I haven't been able to get on in California, but a major one was Big Kimshew. Regarded by many as the "best day run" in Cali, and is the favorite run of many of the Cali legends, so I knew it was one I needed to get. Though I am normally in Cali after the season for it is done, not this year. I finally was able to make it happen at juicy flows with a good crew, and it lived up to the hype and then some! So many sick slides, a few waterfalls, and plenty of sick whitewater. It's a classic for a reason, and I can't wait to get back in there!

This is insane to watch. I’ve been wanting to cliff jump that ladder spot for years. There have been no changes to the rope ladder in the last 5 years since I found it. Probably my favorite canyon in nor cal 🙌🏼

I my hey day of youth and kayaking and wilderness whitewater canoeing, when we had any issues, it was self rescue and if all else fails smoke signals! Technology is great up to a point, then it is nothing but a hassle. One time we made a raft out of a canoe and a kayak to get a fellow paddler, who lost his boat in a big swim, down class 4 whitewater and out of a box canyon. Although, where we were, there would have been no phone signals anyway. Ahh the memories!

A few years back I showed Darin , Little Kimshew I've fished most of Little Kimshew and where I could get to without dying Big Kimshew Can't tell you how slippery those rocks are, fell in a few times

Wow!!!! As a non-kayaker, I am really impressed with what you guys are capable of doing! I was part of the team up in the Helicopter looking for you, we collectively decided that that run was not possible/survivable. Absolutely amazing, really thankful you were all OK .
