We visit the The Bronte Parsonage at Haworth, a stop on The Keighley And Worth Valley Railway. The Brontes were a C19th literary family who lived in the village of Haworth in the West Riding Of Yorkshire. Sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne were well known as poets and novelists. Charlotte wrote "Jane Eyre" and Emily wrote "Wuthering Heights".

Jenny & Bob - Another little gem there.

My auntie works at the personage museum. When you walked poppy and looked over the wall towards the personage you were 6ft away from my ancestors who were there when the Brontes were there. Thanks for the tour, lve never done the museum before because I'm tight. My mum lived down the tunnel right opposite the church.

Nice vlog guys having a catch up tonight after being away. 3 to watch 😎
  • Twice we’ve been to the Parsonage, twice we’ve parked in the car park nearby and twice we didn’t realise there was such a lovely street to walk and browse at all of the lovely shops so once again thank you for such an informative video. On our third visit we may do the train/bus trip too.
  • It's a very long time since we went to Haworth & we never went in the Parsonage - Thanks for sharing your day there 👍😀

We had fruit cake and cheese for afternoon tea today (in Cyprus!). One of the lads at work comes from Halifax. I had forgotten how good it tasted. We visited the Bronte parsonage many years ago but I still remember it well. Can I hear Kate Bush!
  • @frankwbeveridge
Although I'm not a Bronte fan, I think I would like to visit there one day. Great video as usual. The only thing missing was a bit of Kate Bush, its the only time I've listened to Wuthering Heights from start to finish..and enjoyed it. Ahh the memories. 😊👍🖖🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Another great video. Thank you. By the way your advise about contacting DVLC about my EU driving licence losing my C1 category was great. They told me to fill out a D1 form and they will issue a new UK licence with all the original category. Thanks again.
  • I thoroughly enjoyed this as I am an avid bronte fan, the ride was great. Unfortunately we will be able too go on any journeys for a while as we are in the process of moving house next week to South Wales, so I really enjoy your videos, many thanks to both of you.👍👍
  • Poor Pops, getting attacked by a chicken! I have chickens, and cats (plus a couple of ducks) and I'm often asked if I worry the cats will attack the chickens, but the cats steer clear, because they know they'd probably come off worse! Lovely town, it looks right up my street. I love places with interesting old buildings, and lots of independent shops. I feel for the Bronte's father, he lived to a long life, and yet his wife and all their children died young. I do wonder though, if his wife's cancer was caused by the continuous pregnancies. Her body never had time to recover between babies for several years. (I always pause the video when you focus on a story board, so I can read it.) Regarding the railway (and other heritage railways) there was an article on the news on the radio earlier, saying that they need to recruit younger drivers and engineers, as currently, they're all over 60. Apparently, they need to recruit 7 drivers a year in order to keep going. They spoke to someone from Swanage railway. I hope they manage to get the recruits, it would be such a shame if any have to close. Anyway, thanks for this. I'm looking forward to Part 3!
