You could tell that was a one trick enemy genji. All in no fear, wouldn't swap even against a Zarya. Might be the main reason your team managed to win

I think something people forget is on top of the additional DPS, playing supports that can do damage simply makes the enemy team have to worry about fire from more directions. As DPS I pretty much always get less kills with healbot supports, because the enemy knows it's only me and two other sources doing damage - that's way easier to play around.

Mercy + Lifeweaver is a nightmare support duo. I wouldn't wish that support line on my worst enemy.

I just wanna point out, and I'm saying this as a support main. Not a single tank on the face of this Earth is saying "What can I do to help my supports keep me alive?" They're going "Why the fuck aren't my healers healing me and keeping me alive when I go fight a 1v5".

the other day I had a game as mercy on dorado where my tank had 6 deaths and 3 kills by the end of the first round. I straight up could not keep the tank alive and our moira also tried their best. Tank kept dying and I had to make an important decision of who to prioritise, so I focused on dmg boosting our dps (soldier, bastion) and we literally full held under the bridge on first point dorado. The tank was merely an accessory that game, and I know I definitely could have kept the tank up in previous seasons while also dmg boosting. I got incredibly lucky with how good the dps were that game otherwise I would’ve had to switch, but it’s interesting how much mercy has gotten worse over the last couple of seasons.

A good tip when rezzing: Think to yourself, if you rez your teammate, will they survive? What I mean is if you rez a teammate will they immediately fall over the next second or survive long enough to make an impact? (what I'm basically saying is don't rez infront of the enemy team unless it's overtime). Also be very careful, some people like to camp the soul! Hope this helps <3

I love Mercy and Lifeweaver, but if my co-support is someone who can’t contribute even a bit of damage I will switch to Kirko, Zen, or Moira 😅 I can only accept one support not dealing damage and just focus on healing

Just a heads up for support players: Mercy + LW is the worst support lineup in the game, because you're both 0 damage heroes. Essentially reducing your team's damage output by 40%. Wondering why nobody gets kills yet nobody dies? That's why. You'll be sitting with 0 damage and 20k healing.

In all fairness the main concern was map control, and the reason boils down to not being able to win a 2v1 (all supports), it should have been split up with a support with the team and a dps and support playing back

This Mercy is actually pretty good for being in gold, personally I just think that Mercy in general is a harder hero to climb with if she is your go to hero to choose, ESPECIALLY with how she is now. I think it'll benefit anyone who mainly plays Mercy to try and branch out to other supports as it is much easier to make game changing plays with them instead of Mercy.

Never mercy lw duo, your team will hate having to make up your lack of actually doing anything of value, more so swap the lw for something with damage rather then mercy and swap mercy if the dps are doing nothing

Personally I think that there should be a bar for support players basically saying how long until the dps passive is enabled or if it currently is enabled so like a timer of sorts once the bar is full youll know they have it enabled

Gotta have a “flex” support to dish out some damage from time to time. That first point hold by Moira could’ve easily been avoided if they had a bap/zen/ana. My experience since the overhaul is lower healing supports with higher damage output wins. healbotting does not do what it used to.

Like the comb (lw+mercy) is the least of the problems because ov is a TEAM game most cases the supports were just alone without any type of help even tho they had a pharah that could come back very fast and help them out and they could push with 2 supports and can do a lot of healing or revive they could do nothing i basically had the same game i was lw and a random was kiriko we were winning ez until they decided to moira+sombra hunt my soul meanwhile my team did nothing to help and kill them and we lost 3 point just like that because i could barely even survive let alone heal them
