Yes, this is a longer video and sorry if you tune out but I wanted to make this for you ladies who have Incompetent Cervix. I have had two cerclage experiences. One was an emergent McDonald Cerclage. The other was a preventative McDonald cerclage. The two pregnancies were VERY different. My cerclage experience was VERY different.

I found out I have an incompetent cervix with my first and only child when I was 21 weeks and got an emergency cerclage placed at 22 weeks... It only helped me out until 28 weeks but I was grateful for those weeks it did help me!! My daughter was born in April of 2018 and stayed in NICU for 61 days, and she is the best baby ever! I share this to say even when things may seem like they are going left trust in God that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Us women are AMAZING.
  • I purposely looked for your video to share how your story helped me. I learned at 20 weeks I was dilating. The next day I was given emergent cerclage and placed on bed rest. I watched all, I mean everyone of your videos to gain hope. I was scared out of my mind! Each doctor visit, I felt defeated.... but I'll watch your video and felt better. I had my daughter at 38 weeks. Healthy! Thank you for sharing this intimate moment with us. It got me through my most trying times.

So glad i found your channel. I recently lost my daughter to IC at 16 weeks. It was a total and complete surprise to us bc i didnt have any contractions. When Bethpage came out, she was still in her sac...she was perfect. So glad you are sharing your story. It really does give home to me and others who have IC. Also love your faith too! My faith is keeping me afloat.
  • So glad I found your video. I’ve had 2 previous losses at 19 and 21 weeks. Thank you so much for giving me hope!

I just lost my baby boy at 22weeks due to incompetent cervix. I had mild symptoms I chalked up to Braxton Hicks and low back pain I thought was just due to shift in gravity. Less than 12 hours later I was increasingly uncomfortable and left work for an ultrasound. I was 2cm dilated and cervix was 1.75. We went straight to the hospital and my water broke almost immediately and I gave birth within the hour. It is the worst experience I have ever gone through and continue to go through. Videos like yours help me not to lose hope for the next time. We suffered from infertility so this felt like an extra kick in the gut. Luckily we are with one of the best practices in the northeast and already seeing a MFM to plan and prepare for next time. I thank you so much for sharing your story.

I'm here at the hospital and I just undergone cerclage last night. Thank you for sharing your wonderful testimony. I really do believe that God used you to give light and hope to those who are experiencing it, like me. So thank you so much and also yes I appreciate your prayers. God bless you and your family 🙏😭❤.
  • Thank you so much for sharing your story. God bless you and your family! I had my first baby back in 2005 at 27 weeks...our stories were very similar with our first pregnancy as I didn't know anything was wrong until oh your cervix is opening, but for me it was too late and dangerous for the emergency cerclage. I was terrified. I held my son in preterm labor at a hospital 2 hours away for 16 days! And he was born at 2 lbs 7 oz...that was a long and scary journey that turned out well because my son survived and he will be 16 this summer! Praise God! Well unexpectedly I am pregnant again and knew I wanted a cerclage and am scheduled to get mine at 13 weeks this upcoming Tuesday. Hoping you read this and truly just wanted to ask if you would pray for me and my baby. I am nervous, but have faith that God will see me through as He did the last time around. You are so awesome for offering to pray for women in this video, it truly touched my heart. And your information made me hopeful that I will be a Mom of two as well💖 Thank you so much for being you!

Thank you so much for being so open and honest with us. I’m so grateful to God your little ones are beautiful and healthy! I just had my emergent cerclage yesterday at 20 weeks and nervous out of my mind. I am a woman of faith and will continue to lean on those promises. Your family’s story has given hope to my own. God bless you Joelle!❤️❤️
  • Thank you for posting this! I go in Monday for a preventative cerclage. I had an in depth leep procedure a few years ago, so my doctor wants to do a preventative cerclage due to my shortened cervix. This is my first pregnancy so this is all new to me. Your videos have been so helpful!
  • Tha I you so much for sharing your story!! I just had to have an emergent cerclage at 21wks, and I was terrified and felt betrayed by my body. I hadn’t had any contractions or any sign that I was dilated. Luckily my OB thought she saw some funneling on my anatomy scan and I got in with the high risk doctors the same week!! The high risk doctor got me in for surgery the morning after she saw me! It is so good to hear your story, as J am still terrified I won’t make it to term. Also knowing if we want to have anymore children I will need this done again it is nice to hear how different your experiences were!!

I found out I had cervical incompetence at 17wks. Everything happened so fast from heavy cramping to extreme bleeding and blood clots. I knew what was happening but I didn't know why so I went to the hospital. It was so scary. (Being in the 2nd trimester I thought I was safe from miscarriage.) My baby boy didn't make it as my water broke and they saw that his arm was already sticking out of my cervix. I'm pregnant again this time at 11 weeks and coming in with this knowledge of my condition, I'd like to get a preventative cerclage.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I’m going thru the same thing with my first, I feel so lucky and blessed to be at 35 weeks and 5 days. Doctor Matt in MSP actually did my emergency cerclage too! He’s the best and I’m so thankful for him every day!

I watched this video a year ago when I lost my son at 22 weeks. I had an emergency cerclage with him at 19.5 weeks but it failed and our baby boy was born with wings. The ob told us next time we’d get a preventative cerclage and that way we’d never have to go through that pain again. I found this video after loosing him and learning about preventative cerclages and it gave me so much hope to hear your story. We had conceived our son Valentine’s Day last year and then we ended up conceiving our rainbow baby girl the week after Valentine’s Day this year. We felt this was our son sending us our rainbow and we were so excited. I got the preventative cerclage placed at 11.4 weeks in April and everything went perfect after that. Then at 16 weeks I asked if we could get the 17p (Makena) shots you help make sure I didn’t have any issues contracting too early. I got the first shot may 18th I started contracting immediately after that shot.... we lost our sweet baby girl may 31st at 18.3 weeks just shy of 2 weeks after starting the shot. I’m lost right now everyone said a preventative cerclage would have gotten us our rainbow and now here I am having lost 2 Angels not even a year apart. I’m a wreck, people are telling me I can get a TAC next time and that’ll do it but all I keep thinking is they said that about the cerclage. I’m so broken and so lost
  • I know I am late but as I went for my first appointment at 19 weeks 3 days I found out I had an IC, I had a rescue cerclage placed the same night. I was 1cm dilated prior to the surgery and during the surgery I dilated even more to 2-3 cm. Now I am 19weeks and 6 days and I’m just praying my baby boy will make it to full term. If I could please ask for anyone’s prayers I would wholeheartedly appreciate it

  • Emergency cerclage at 17 weeks with my son, it failed, pessary and progesterone shots, bed rest….had cerclage removed at 36 weeks and was 4cm dilated…my son was born at 38w4days…8lbs2oz…💙
  • @mandy6062
I had an emergency cerclage placed at 20 weeks, ruptured at 20 and 6 days and lost my son at 22 and 5 with an infection and prolapsed cord. I am terrified to get pregnant again but I am also stubborn and determined to be a mother to a living child. I’m glad to see you had success and helps me to better make a decision. Thank you for sharing.
  • I've loss my first and 2nd baby due to cervical incompetence at 26 weeks, it was really painful, I thought I would breakdown but thanks to my husband, family and the Lord I was able to overcome the situation. I hope and pray that I can find a great Doctor here in the Philippines to do the Cerclage once I get pregnant again. Thank you for sharing your Story😇
