This is so so good! We are not called to be nice. We are called to be righteous (that envelopes kindness and gentleness and patience and all the good stuff that God gifts us). Not trying to be a peace keeper, trying to be a peace maker! 🎉

Rely on the Holy Spirit for boldness because if you rely on yourself you'll either be a fool or a coward and God rejects both of them. 🔥🔥🔥

I enjoyed hearing this conversation. I think friendship is important in a marriage. I was married for over 20 plus years, I thought we were friends. He left me for someone else that he felt a closer friendship towards. Even when you have a strong friendship, if The Father is not at the center of the marriage, and someone is trying to get their needs met apart from the Lord, the marriage cannot sustain. We make our needs idols, and thereby, making them a “god”. He left for a stronger friendship, someone that he felt he had more in common with but in order to get that, he disposed of his faith and turned his heart from the Lord. It’s heartbreaking. Marriage requires a lot especially when trying to do it Gods way.

Im paying attention, but The top of Preston’s hat reminds me of a baby bottle pop for some reason, If ykyk .

22:40 This segment on conflict in relationships and dissolving conflicts is something that isn't emphasized enough especially in the Christian community. It's hard, it's messy, it's uncomfortable but it's needed... Because growth always arises regardless of the way the conflict is solved (i.e. Either you grow together or you grow apart) As for The Perrys, I love their dynamic as a couple and i think that this is a result of allowing themselves to grow through conflict as One Flesh (and separate characters/personalities as well).
