A perfect example of a band where every member plays a vital role in the sound

If you're here for "br00tal breakdowns" and "no clean vocals" you're in the wrong place. The Contortionist is not a deathcore band. They are a progressive band and each album shows that. There's something about this band that pleases pretty much everything I enjoy musically.
  • Yesterday, I was introduced to "The Contortionist" and I now find myself deeply appreciating their music. This particular song - "Language I: Intuition" - evokes the essence of a timeless tale – intricate, thrilling, sensual. It’s truly astounding that such musical gems remain undiscovered by many - yet I feel immensely fortunate to have unearthed this band. The complexity and allure of their compositions captivate my senses, leaving an indelible impression that resonates deeply within me. This discovery feels akin to finding a hidden treasure amidst a sea of mediocrity. I am sincerely grateful for the music and the emotions it evokes. Thank you for this extraordinary musical experience! (20/6/2024)

This band has been one of my favorites. It comes back into my life in different intervals whenever I need to connect back to myself

I bet the lyrics are in the comments already, but I couldn't find them lol. So here: Begin hyper-communication Restore our vision Of natural progression Rise in groves to reclaim the source The center We will be the salvation the Mother seeks Traversing in all directions Reaching Expanding Balance finds it's place Reaching for the Mother Sun Rooted to intuition You are the language Ever-flowing Ever-echoing Drift with the ebb and flow Drift with the ebb and flow Ebb and flow Ebb and flow Ebb and flow Ebb and flow Intuition sets in Branching out from your seed to seek Contrived sense of inception Intuition speak to me

This song played in between sets at a death metal show yesterday.....I was the only on vibing and singing to it. It felt great :)

Almost forgot to watch this masterpiece this week. Glad I remembered, peak music.
  • The intro is the best part it should be looped for hours 👌🏻 same goes for the last like 40 seconds of the song 🤘🏻
  • Can't believe it's been over 7 years. This album changed the game, don't think there's been an album in djent prog that has affected the scene as much as this since. That's your cue to argue with me, so I can discover more great albums on this level.

Seeing them live was probably one of the best experiences of my life.
