There is only one Quantum Leap and only one Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula), Al (Dean Stockwell)😭 This show is one of many that were classics and are so timeless that it can’t be recreated.🙂
-
Nobody in modern entertainment businesses seems to be able to create anything original these days and ruin shows/movies that had massive fan base in my opinion
-
It was guaranteed to be a fail. Nobody has the balls to make Quantum Leap properly today. 95% of the episodes would never be made today.
-
Quantum Leap should have picked up with Sam ( Scott Bakula) leaping into someone only to discover it's years later, being told of Al's death so they could pay tribute to Dean Stockwell and then move on. They would then have from the 1950s to current times to come up with awesome stories.
-
I used to watch the original with my mom when I was a kid. I was gonna tell her there's a new version but then I remembered that it'd probably be woke and I didn't want to do that to her.
-
The original Quantum Leap was amazing.
-
Babyface is watching Quantum Leap...Oh, Boy
-
I swear the writers of Discovery wrote this. The acting was terrible. I was a HUGE fan of Quantum Leap-can some tell the girl that is supposed to be Al, she's not supposed to be a fixture the ENTIRE show? I don't think these writers have ever seen the original.
-
somewhere in texas, an old man called gary sighed in anger when another of his old series was killed
-
The original Quantum Leap barely had anything to do with the people behind the scenes running the project, letting you really engage with the main character and the situation-of-the-week he found himself in. They should have stuck with that.
-
At this point, there isn't much left to ruin. Shame pure quality like Quantum leap was next into the chopping block.
-
Scott Bakula's Quantum Leap is one of my all time favorite t.v. shows, so when I heard they were remaking it I wanted to cry. I don't even need to watch it to know they will fuck it up in the worst way possible. I hope it fails and disappears quickly, so it does not completely ruin the original show.
-
Quantum Leap without Scott Bakula is like tom and jerry without tom and jerry
-
Of course, we get a they/them person. Ernie Hudson should be the new Al character instead of his wife but instead we get a show about two people who have no chemistry when the chemistry between Sam and Al was the heart of the original.
-
Ernie Hudson should have been the new guys Hologram, not just because he would have been better...but because chances are this guy is going to have plenty of relationships and she is going to have to watch him do it 😨.
-
The original Quantum Leap visited the background crew 3-4 times in its entire run, the show was just Sam and Al dealing with the problems. It shows that writers and producers today can't write shows anymore.
-
this instantly becomes the best show ever made If the next episode shows Scott Bakula quantum leaps into this show, ends it, then quantum leaps away
-
I loved the original show when I caught reruns. The moment I heard there was a reboot current day, words cannot describe how upset I was
-
They’ve actually rebooted Quantum Leap? I thought it was just an ugly rumour. Sam Beckett and Al are simply irreplaceable!
-
There seems to be more "present day" in this one episode that the entire original show.
