How To Do Everything To Please God | Sathya Sai Satsang | Prof Anil Kumar Experiences

Published 2024-05-19
What is the best way to do anything? The short answer is - in a manner that God, our Swami (Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba) would be pleased. When we realize that our Swami is 'Sarva Devatateeta Swaroopa', the embodiment who is beyond all forms of Divinity, we understand that everything we have and everything we do are His gifts to us.

The satsang first attempts to understand who Sathya Sai is based on the Sai Gayatri mantra and the mindboggling experience of Prof Bhanoji Rao. Then, the problem of working for anything or anyone else other than Swami becomes clear with the story of Mr. V Srinivasan and Swami's ashram in Kodaikanal - Sai Shruti. Finally, we understand the ABCDE of doing all work as Swami's work (Sarva Karma Bhagawat Preethyartham) from the many experiences of Swami's dear translator and servitor, Prof Anil Kumar, during the Summer Course in Indian Culture and Philosophy in 1990.

This talk was originally delivered virtually at the Sai Center in Saskatoon, Canada.

Swami is Sarvadevatateetaswaroopa. The experience was given to me directly. I saw that Lord Venkateshwara is nothing more than His mere reflection on the shiny tiles of Sai Ramesh hall. I saw it with my open eyes. The world had collective vision of God for 85 years. So now when I go to any temple and see a moorti of Shri Ram or Shri Krishna, I remember that incident and I am in the awareness that by praying to these deities, I am actually praying to Swami whose reflections, these deities are.

  • Sir Anil Kumar and his unique ways... I just imagine him being united,Swami and him, in laughter and liberty ...and I enjoy that scene...😄 And as he was an example of pleasing his God, doing everything to make Swami happy, I hope his memory causes many copycats, including myself... Let me always do my utmost best for Him!🙏 P.S.And when you talk about Koidakanal I can vividly recall the feel of being there in 2003. What one can call: a divine holiday ❣
