CNC upgrade: prototyping a better cart

My current cart has too much wobble. I am milling out a test board to try and build a more stable cart.

    One other note - that screw/bar thing is the threaded rod which drives the original cart and will be replaced by a belt, larger stepper and a micro-stepping controller. While being potentially extremely precise (1/4000" inch - 20tpi X 200 steps / turn), it also turns out to be very slow - 5-10" / minute slow. This is glacierly slow. The belt drive should be closer to 100-200" / minute.

    Yeah, that was a bit of a goofy design choice on my behalf. To keep this cart (and the original one for that matter) from falling off, I have to have a mini-cart on a single rail on the back connected to the main cart with a tension bar. You can almost see the setup (of the original cart) at the start of the video. I will be replicating this design with the new cart as well.
