just an observation: Your shirts and all are hanging and people can't see the design on them. You need to put some so the designs shows so people can see when they walk by. People don't want to have to go into the area and go through the rack and look one by one.
  • A couple of suggestions (for what it's worth) - another commenter suggested putting clothes out so people can see and are drawn in by the designs - this is huge! Your displays were like a closet and when people are casually browsing, they aren't going to stop and sift through in hopes to find something. You can draw them in with a display with your designs on them. Also, wearing your products at your vending events is a huge plus. HTH.

Also a REALLY cute thing I've seen convention vendors do, is put your socials and some stickers on your mirror. Tell them if they follow you or take a selfie in your mirror and tag you on your social, they get a discount!

That is an insane price for just 2 days. Love your energy and videos.

My friend sells crystals (actually I believe that was her table in front of you off to the side) at all the Market for Makers locations and always does well. She has repeat customers who already know her at these events. She travels by plane too and has learned how to get her vending supplies from state to state. Vending bigger markets isn't for everyone and takes a lot of time. It's also a learning process.

Someone else commented about displaying the shirt designs somewhere and I agree. If not in a lookbook like flip through binder, maybe in frames you can hang, or little things above the racks. The racks of sweatshirts wouldn't draw me in but the designs would!

The time of year is also a factor, the fall/Christmas season is historically a better sales season. Markets in the earlier months of the year are lower as customers are not spending money for gifts. I would not compare last years market in this location since you did it in it the fall to this market.
  • Bailey, I think your country products, the blue shirt and the boots diaper bag would do well in country setings. ❤ I also agree with others about somehow displaying the shirts maybe blow up pictures of you wearing them AND styling them.
  • The booth prices are insane. My friend and i are just getting started with markets and could never afford that. Im a couple hrs from jacksonville so thats great info for us. Thanks!!

Oh by the way I agree with a couple of the comments below about hanging some shirts facing out so people can see the designs. I have a clothing rack and did alot of people watching during my last 4 markets last year and I realized that no matter how cute your designs are or signs telling people what you sell, people are lazy or timid when it comes to actually looking thru shirts on a clothing rack. The one that everyone mentioned or looked at was the one that I hung on the end of the rack facing out to the public. I realized pretty quickly that if I display it, people see it and buy it, but they just dont want to look thru a clothing rack. I know its hard at this type of sale when you dont have a tent to hang things on but maybe experiement with how you can get more of your shirts visible without people having to put any effort into seeing them. They are way to cute to not be seen... and as some others mentioned, definately wear some of your shirts to events, people see it on you and ask if you sell that design. Heck wear a hat! And drink out of a tumbler. Be the model for your business... free advertising!!

Just a thought, maybe offer some lower dollar items. A range of items may entice more people to come in your booth or smaller items that will attract kids to come in your booth. Maybe stickers or even some embroidered decals that can be ironed on by the customer.
  • PRO TIP: Your stuff is super cute. At this type of sale where there are so many vendors, you have SECONDS to grab the interest of a new customer as they stroll by. Here are a few tips I have learned. 1. PVC pipe is the easiest way to build all kinds of stuff for your booth. It’s relatively inexpensive, light and doesn’t take up a lot of space in your vehicle. You could build a tall frame that goes against that wall and use rope and some pins to hang a sample of as many different prints as you can. This will allow people to quickly see your merchandise as they walk by. Especially the stuff with quotes on it. You could also bring more product if you used PVC to create one double row rather than two single row fixtures and will allow you more space in your booth. Always wear your merchandise! Style a different look each day to show customers how easy and fun it is to incorporate pops of color into their everyday look.

Oh wow what a fun market to be at ... all the colors and designs ... love it all! I would keep an eye on the stanley mugs though ... you had them right at the front ... I would put them more to the middle or close to where you stand/sit! P.S. Your pack out and pack away was amazing ... you did it so quickly! Maybe try this market one more time with some of the suggestions here? You have really cute stuff .... just need to showcase it more. 🩷

this is fascinating, thank you for sharing with us all ☺☺☺

Weather definitely did not help you, sorry about the less then optimal results. You still did good though. Also as you were going through your shirts on the rack my first thought is “I’d never even notice those” and i personally do not like to rummage through the racks. I like to just see the stuff and grab my size. Especially the niche or specialty shirt about postpartum glow! How cute but it needs to be front and center so that a passing mom can see it and snag it up. It applies and is super relevant but it will be missed. Love your vlogs love your vibes love that you take us along for the entire process. Keep doing what you do. Happy Easter!🐣

Great Vlog.❤❤ The last year market vlog was actuelly my first video of you. So it's great to see all your progress. I loved the setup, you have so many wonderful colors. I like it more, when you have your check-out in the back. For me it is more welcoming, can't really explain why. Maybe, because in Germany we have normally tables in the front and the vendor is in the back - so maybe this is more usual for me. Hope your next market works better for you ❤
  • @jenniferr58
I’ve gotten an advertisement for this market before. Once I saw that they charge customers to come in, I was NOT interested. Never in my life have I paid to shop somewhere. Have you? By the way, I took a look at your website. I love the Manatee Fan Club pullover. I hope you re-stock it! ❤
  • @shopwildvenus
A lot of suggestions about properly showing merchandise. The thing is, theres only so much space and also people do get choice paralysis when presented with too many options. It's fine showcasing some of your bestsellers, the ones that really represent your work and hook people in to explore more. I think you did a great job 👍
  • @amydanielle1981
Hey Bailey! I'm sorry you didn't hit your goal, but I still think it was a success. People were able to make purchases they get to enjoy, you got your brand out there, plus youtube content! You should be proud of what you accomplished 🥳!! But I know from a business standpoint that it needs to make sense across the board! Also, my fear of bridges was cured when Joe and I walked over one in Jax years ago. It was one of the scariest things ever, but I did it, lol!! At one point, I took off running.. I was done!
