"We're gonna be okay, you can rest now." is probably one of the best sentences you can listen to before passing away.

All these gods, super heroes with supernatural powers and finally an ordinary man saves the world. A man who built his super powers himself. Respect

This scene is so emotional because the whole MCU died with Tony Stark..
  • @bigcatx3723
One thing I really love about this scene is that the people closest to him, the ones who were there to say goodbye, all were wearing suits of armor that he made for them. To me, that makes the line “We’re going to be okay,” even more poetic.
  • The silence after his death… letting the audience hold and feel the emotion. That’s how you do a proper death scene. Logan also had a great send off in his own film.
  • Peter always called him Mr Stark, so Peter calling him Tony at the end, really hits hard

pepper is so strong in this scene. she held her tears until tony died. it’s impressive how strong she can hold her emotions together. if i was her i would’ve been crying so hard

Pepper was such a good wife and partner, she knew exactly what to say to ease his concern during his last moment, she said all he wanted and needed to hear
  • I love how Pep comforted Tony before the end. She hold her grief, until he's gone, because wanted him to die peacefully, not in sorrow for leaving her. Because she loves him. Man, i can't imagine a better death for a warrior: surrounded by friends and loved one, on a dust of slain enemy army.
  • I’m also here to pay tribute to “The Real Hero”, it is October 17, 2023, where canonically Tony Stark makes the sacrifice pay to ensure the survival of the Marvel universe would survive long after he’s gone. RIP Tony Stark (1970-2023).

Today is October 17th, 2023 the canonical date of your death in the MCU. Rest in Peace, Tony Stark. The MCU truly died with you and Thanos. We will always love you, 3000.

One of the bits that I think gets overlooked is the fact that Pepper, first and foremost, comforted Peter before her own exchange with Tony because she knew it hit him hard.
  • @InvaltidWord
the fact that this was the only time peter called him tony is heartbreaking

2012: He saved New York 2015: He saved the Earth 2019: He saved the whole Universe Rest in peace. You will always be remembered in our hearts
  • @ChrisSkene
Don Cheadle low-key nailed this scene in about five seconds of screen time without speaking a single word. Incredible acting.
  • @Lotselance
What messes me up about this is how quiet his death is... he's dying, no final words, no last "I love you" or "be good" or anything. The way he just vacantly stares past his friends, barely conscious and slipping.

I love how Pepper allows Peter to have his moment before stepping in.
