Wednesday night drive around downtown Miami and Miami Beach Florida. Video starts in Downtown Miami, and focuses on the Brickell financial district. This area is very similar to Singapore! After leaving the downtown area, I head across Biscayne Bay towards my hotel in Miami Beach. Check out the lighting storm as I cross the bay. Enjoy!
Miami, officially the City of Miami, is the cultural, economic and financial center of Florida in the United States. Greater Downtown Miami has one of the largest concentrations of international banks in the United States, and is home to many large national and international companies.  The city has the third tallest skyline in the U.S. with over 300 high-rises, 55 of which exceed 491 ft (150 m). The Miami metropolitan area is home to 6.1 million people, the second-most populous in the southeastern United States and the seventh-largest in the nation.  The city covers an area of about 56 square miles (150 km2) between the Everglades to the west and Biscayne Bay to the east. Miami is the sixth most densely populated major city in the United States with an estimated 2019 population of 467,963, also making it the 42nd most populous city in the U.S., the second-largest city in Florida behind Jacksonville, and the largest in South Florida.

Miami is a major center and leader in finance, commerce, culture, arts, and international trade. The metro area is by far the largest urban economy in Florida and the 12th largest in the United States, with a GDP of $344.9 billion as of 2017. In 2018, Miami was classified as an Alpha level global city by the GaWC. In 2019, Miami ranked seventh in the United States and 31st among global cities in terms of business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience, and political engagement. According to a 2018 UBS study of 77 world cities, the city was ranked as the third-richest in the United States and the eighth-richest in the world in terms of purchasing power. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America" and is the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.

The Health District is a major center for hospitals, clinics, and the biotechnology and medical research industries. PortMiami is the busiest cruise port in the world in both passenger traffic and cruise lines, and refers to itself as the "Cruise Capital of the World". Miami is also a major tourism hub for international visitors, ranking second in the country after New York City.

Brickell is an urban neighborhood of Greater Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. Directly south of the historic CBD, Brickell is Miami and South Florida's major financial district.

Brickell was settled in the modern era in the mid-19th century by early pioneers, growing to become Miami's "Millionaire's Row" in the early 20th century after the construction of lavish mansions along Brickell Avenue by Mary Brickell. By the 1970s, office towers, hotels and apartments began replacing the historic mansions. Brickell overtook the city's historic central business district to the north, as one of the largest financial districts in the United States. With a fast-growing residential population, Brickell is Miami's most dense neighborhood, with a 2010 population of about 31,000.

This video gives me the same feeling as when you arrive in a city on a very late flight by night. You take the cab to the hotel, you are absolutely lost and fatigued but at the same time mesmerized by the scenic view of an unknown city. Usually, the driver is silent, he rides a long Hyundai sedan, the radio is very low, the A/C is too cold but it's so peaceful

I love this guy. All he does is driving around cities with a dashcam in complete silence and post it on youtube haha.

My home Miami. If you're from here and have driven through these streets, then you've seen this landscape 100 times over. And it always feels like home. Night drives are about the most calmest.
  • There is just something romantic about travelling through a big city at night. I love these videos. It's a great escape from everyday life.
  • It's incredible to know how big the world is and how insignificant we all are....Sigh...Life is so overwhelmingly beautiful and challenging at the same time....

These are the roads I walk alone at night while playing euphoric hip hop in the background. Always a spectacular sight. 🌆

As someone who's only seen Miami in two video games, I must say that Downtown Miami is way bigger than I thought.
  • idk if anyone else gets like a huge relief and gaze in aw when seeing a city at night especially like when you go in vacation to somewhere with a city, you did some fun activities all day, then you drive to your hotel late at night at the scene is so perfect
