On June 13th, 1944, in the French town of Villers-Bocage, south of Normandy hidden in the bushes a beast stalks its prey. A Tiger tank of the 2nd Company of the 101st SS Heavy Panzer Battalion. Standing atop its cupola is the most decorated German Panzer ace in history; Lieutenant Michael Wittmann aka The Black Baron. A reckless attack or a daring tank battle. Wittman's actions at Villers Bocage became disputed and legendary. There are many sources that conflict for this story but we tried to pull together a narrative from the many sources that are out there. Any errors are our own.

  • Wittmann and his crew are playing an fps while every enemy is playing survival horror

How every Tiger player in war thunder expects to happen when they queue up.

The daredevil nature of Wittman's actions was his demise almost two months later... charging in the open with an exposed flank. Tigers were not Indestructibles, although he commanded them as if they were.

I think the best part of this whole video is the ending. It's commendable that despite your best efforts to present it, you'd outright admit that there are likely discrepancies as the details of this event are highly disputed.
  • I can't believe that the less armoured tanks still did their best to stop the tiger even tho they were totally unmatched..... Brave souls may all their souls rest in peace

"They are the panzer elite, born to compete, never retreat (ghost division) Living or dead, always ahead, fed by your dread" You know I had to. Love when you upload Yarnhub!

A video about Otto Carius and the first documented shooting down of a plane with a tank would be good to see. Carius leveled the tank and his gunner shot down the plane with the main gun. That was in Russia in 1943 I think. Carius died in 2014 at the age of over ninety. He had a pharmacy called Tiger pharmacy and in it he had a lot of models of Tigers, Panthers and Tank Destroyers. He started out as a loader in a Panzer 38 and worked his way up to commander. He was one of the first to be fitted with the Tiger. At the end of the war he commanded a Jagdtiger.Carius had notable success as a Tiger tank commander

1:00 "In warpath, you can command the famous Tiger tank!" *Proceeds to show some fake futuristic looking tank with like 2 gun barrels
  • 4:55 you've got to give it those 3 little guys they knew they had no way of killing the Tiger but still stood ground so that their comrades could retreat
  • The amount of people that must of died in this encounter is unimaginable and sad, being part of a Tank Crew must be insanely scary but brave at the same time And about Wittman, he was killed later in the battle of Normandy by a Sherman Firefly during an ambush
  • @isleman2
I swear the people look a lot more alive, almost as if they were ripped straight from reality. You never sieze to amaze yarnhub team!

Wittman…A name both feared and respected.
  • @jojotv9383
What a rampage, its almost as he was used to command a tank. He surely had some good skills, without a doubt, and a good machine to wörk with!
  • The graphics are getting better and better with every video. At the part where the camera is moving thought the standstill tanks, you can easily say is from a video game. Keep up the excellent work.
